Repeat after me. A habitable planet is more important than the profits of a few fossil fuel companies. Pass it on. #ActOnClimate

They were tired of killing their enemies and watching their fellow soldiers die. They fell to their knees, their minds and bodies giving way, exhausted by the burden of a war that had lasted two thousand years. Slowly, as they caught their breath, they saw misery, despair, and death around them. In the stillness that followed, they recognized the vicious loops of anger, hate, and fear in the ways of the old. Awakened, they paused. They wondered if they could simply lay down the burden of the past, and with that came a deep desire for freedom. As they saw their own reflection in the other, they dropped their weapons for the sake of future generations. The cycles of haunted histories shattered like glass as they chose love over war. They chose love, over and over again.

Most conversations about AI and economic inequality stop at redistribution. This piece argues that's answering the wrong question entirely. If AI is reshaping how value is created and concentrated, the response has to go deeper than dividends and income floors.

A simple realization that we don’t have to carry the cycles of the past, we can choose differently.

Hundreds of Jews and Palestinians gathered in Tel Aviv today to protest our government’s forever war in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Iran. We know this isn’t normal. We know all of us deserve better. Enough!

I’m not sure how we became accustomed to this. How it doesn’t shake us to the bone. It’s surreal how numb we became. We are slowly becoming dehumanized! Besides the reconstruction of our cities we need the rehabilitation of our lost souls.

Meet Enas Al-Ghoul, a Palestinian agricultural engineer turning crisis into innovation: Her simple yet brilliant solar still purifies salty seawater for daily use, while the captured heat lets her prepare meals right on the setup. Absolute respect for this kind of survival creativity.🇵🇸

I am a US citizen & Surgeon who took care of the Boston Maraton Bombing victims in 2013. I paid for 7 years to own a small apartment in downtown #Beirut for my 3 kids to enjoy summers there. Today, #Israel reduced my dream home to rubble, with american weapons, paid by my taxes.

Rising gas prices impact almost every commodity, but the pain is felt most when people struggle to put food on the table. That’s beyond sad. Now imagine if communities had local food supply through local greenhouses. Economic shocks like this could be absorbed far better. Imagine if communities also had access to a standing pool of capital to continuously fund local projects that build resilience, while developing the ability to absorb such shocks. We need structural changes so communities stay strong, the middle class grows, wealth is created at the grassroots level, and small businesses thrive. Today rising oil prices hit ordinary people hard because most value creation is concentrated in large conglomerates instead of local communities. That must change before the system ends up crushing the very people it depends on.
