Day 2 — The Method Years before he ever killed someone in a state, he’d fly there — under a fake itinerary — and bury a “kill kit.” Guns. Zip ties. Cash. Tools to dispose of a body. He’d hide it in the woods, miles from any town. Then he’d fly home. Months or years later, he’d return, retrieve the kit, find a victim completely at random, and kill them — then fly home again like nothing happened.

A man ran his own construction business in Anchorage, Alaska. He was a single father. Quiet. Reliable. The kind of guy neighbors trusted with a key to their house. But every few months, he’d disappear — telling people he was visiting family out of state. He wasn’t. He was flying across the country to commit murders thousands of miles from home — with zero connection to him, no pattern, and no motive police could find. Follow this week. We reveal who he is on day 7.

In 1999, a man was found murdered and dumped in a Missouri cornfield. The only clues were two encrypted notes found in his pants pockets. The FBI’s top cryptanalysis unit worked on the notes. Then they called in the American Cryptogram Association. Nobody could crack the code. The FBI chief said: “It doesn’t happen often that we have an unsolved cipher of this length and significance. The characters are not random. There are many patterns. The problem is we don’t know why it is not solvable.” In 2011 — 12 years after the murder — the FBI went public and asked the world for help decoding the notes. Nobody has solved them. His killer has never been found. His name was Ricky McCormick. He was 41 years old. Somewhere out there, someone knows what those notes say.

Most people have never heard of Samuel Little. That’s exactly how he wanted it. The FBI confirmed he is the most prolific serial killer in US history. He confessed to 93 murders. More than Ted Bundy. More than John Wayne Gacy. More than anyone. Here’s how 35 years of killing went unnoticed: 1970 — He claims his first murder. Nobody connects it to anything. 1975 — He has already been arrested 26 times across 11 states. Fraud. Robbery. Rape. He keeps walking free. 1982 — He’s actively killing women across the country. Deaths ruled overdoses. Cases closed. 2005 — He commits what investigators believe is his last murder. Still not caught. 2012 — Arrested in Kentucky on a drug charge. Routine DNA swab links him to 3 cold case murders in Los Angeles from the late 1980s. 2014 — Convicted and sentenced to 3 consecutive life terms. 2018 — A Texas Ranger named James Holland sits down with him. Over 700 hours of interviews, Little confesses to 93 murders and draws portraits of his victims from memory. 2019 — The FBI officially declares him the most prolific serial killer in US history. 2020 — He dies in prison aged 80. Dozens of his victims still unidentified. He once said: “I never killed no senators or governors or fancy New York journalists. I stayed in the ghettos.” He was right. And it’s why nobody came looking.

In 1982, seven people in Chicago died after taking Tylenol. Someone had laced the capsules with cyanide and put them back on store shelves. The killer was never caught. But because of those 7 deaths — tamper-evident seals were invented. Every bottle of medicine you’ve ever opened has them. The person who did it changed the entire pharmaceutical industry. And walked away free.

🔍 The Zodiac Killer terrorized Northern California in the late 1960s with a string of brutal murders and taunting letters to newspapers. He claimed at least 5 confirmed victims (and up to 37 total), striking young couples in lovers' lanes, then sending cryptic ciphers and his now-iconic crossed-circle symbol to the press. One cipher was cracked, revealing a chilling boast about collecting slaves for the afterlife. The rest remain unsolved. Despite massive police investigations, eyewitness sketches, and modern DNA analysis, the case stands as one of America’s most infamous cold cases. The true identity of the Zodiac Killer? Still unknown to this day. Read the full story and latest theories here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac… ```

Robert Yates spent 23 years living a double life in Spokane, WA. Father of five. Army National Guard helicopter pilot. Church-going family man. He was also killing women and burying one of his victims in his own backyard — under his bedroom window. Police finally caught him in 2000 through DNA evidence. His neighbors said they never suspected a thing.

The scariest part isn’t what he did. It’s how normal he looked doing it. Your neighbor. Your kid’s coach. Your coworker. Some people are very good at hiding. Follow for more cases like this. New one drops tomorrow.
