Things you might have already missed regarding next season 👀🚨

Takeover news:
Current front runners have passed the Owners & Directors Test, and are now in discussion with the newly formed Independent Regulator to see if any additional information is required (we seem to be the first team the Independent Regulator has dealt with?).
The front runners have already invested money into the club, however it would not impact us if a takeover fell through.
Mark Palios intends to instantly step down from the board, but will remain as an external consultant if needed to ensure a smooth transition.
New manager:
Darrell Clarke. 48yr old manager, from Mansfield, who already has five promotions on his CV, with the latest coming in 21/22.
Very fluid with formations, being successful at Port Vale and Barnsley with a 3-back formation, but also having success earlier in his career at Bristol Rovers, playing with a 4-back formation.
No matter how he intends to set-up, Darrell sometimes shifts between a 3 and 4 depending on the opposition.
Backroom staff:
In an interview with BBC Sport Merseyside, Darrell explained that he WILL certainly be adding to the backroom staff.
He did however explain that he won’t be rushed into those decisions, as he wants to make sure he gets the right fit for this football club, and what it needs. Explained that he’ll figure things out and then add them at the right time.
Solving the injury crisis:
A series of small tweaks across lots of different areas will be put in place to help minimise injury risks. This includes additional physio resource, and improvements to our training pitches.
Player recruitment:
A conscious decision will be taking place to make the average age of our squad lower this season, done to help mitigate another injury crisis. (we had the 3rd oldest squad in League Two last season).
