Put this in your pipe* and smoke it! For an indeterminate amount of time, my hardbacked book BIG BEACON (my caps) is available to buy for £9.50 here: amazon.co.uk/Alan-Partridge-…
* In the photograph, I am holding a pipe.
ALT Partridge clasps copy of book between fingers and palm of left hand and clutches bowl of smoking pipe between first fingers and thumb of right hand. Facial expression suggests wistful contemplation of storm brewing in distance (not pictured). Face skin is browned through outdoor work but looks cleansed and moisturised because is. A letter to my younger self. Sadly it's not possible to send a letter to yourself 50 years ago, though it is possible to send one to yourself 50 years from now. Just send it next day delivery with Evri! I’m joking. I know the commercial director. Good guy. bigissue.com/culture/tv/alan…
I recently filled in a questionnaire for the Times newspaper, and today Tony Gallagher and his team have published that questionnaire: thetimes.co.uk/article/alan-…
I was THRILLED to be asked by the Guardian 'news' paper to answer readers questions. Slightly misunderstanding the brief, I sat down and spent three weeks answering each of the 600 questions in order, later to learn they only need around 12 answers. Here: theguardian.com/culture/2023…
Yesterday's kindly tax cuts means you have more money in your pocket than EVER before. Why not spend £75 of it on a deluxe version of BIG BEACON? A limited edition of only 500 copies! And with a week to go before launch there are only a few hundred left. specialeditionbooks.co.uk/pr…
Without consulting the author, book and tote bag retailer Waterstones has been selling BIG BEACON at half price. I'm pleased to say that offer - which defiles both the book and English literature as a whole - ends at midnight tonight. waterstones.com/book/alan-pa…
The cover design for Big Beacon features my award-winning signature rendered in gold. But if you'd like your copy signed again slightly less well, in black, while you stand and watch, come to one of the following stores, buy the book (important) and get in the queue, thank you.
Shaking as I type this. For the last 12 months I have worked with Orion Publishing, a divorced graphic designer and a team of interns, who like all publishing interns are both Oxbridge and unpaid, to create a luxury version of my new memoir BIG BEACON. bit.ly/3rlIXPP
The standard-but-still-good version of Big Beacon is published a fortnight today or Thursday week or three weeks last Thursday. The 12th basically. waterstones.com/book/alan-pa…
I repeat: only 500 copies of the deluxe version have been produced, so they'll be worth something some day. They're worth something today (75 pounds) but some day they'll be worth more, although buyers will want money off for them being second hand. Still, you should break even.
