Agreed. Though like I've said before, I'm convinced Democrats are trying to avoid a civil war, and Republicans seem to know that something close to it is the only way they're going to be able to hold onto power.
if I was the incumbent governor of Minnesota and I had already declared I would not be running for re-election, I would burn every resource at my disposal to protect my citizens from being murdered by the federal government.

It makes sense we feel stuck, our playbook is limited, for now. Other countries have clearer paths and precedent for removing presidents, the capacity for national general strikes to shut down the economy, and the ability for new parties to form. Without these, we struggle.

I wish I could give him a swirly. He's the kind of person my progressive friends would have defended a few years ago. We have to let go of liberal intellectuals, they have little substance and when they do, it's just watered down socialism at best.

Progressive advocacy groups like Sunrise have zero demonstrated capacity to successfully mobilize voters.
What they actually can do is generate bad press for Democrats, helping Republicans win elections, and using the threat of this to try to extort policy wins.

This conviction is already boosting Trump, his donation website has crashed from the influx of donations. Polling suggested it would help him as much as hurt him. His whole thing is that the system is crooked and against him. This only vindicates that. It's good but not the end.

Convicted felons should absolutely be viable political candidates! We need to focus on who Trump is ideologically, not some idea that people who have been convicted or are even in prison (like socialist Eugene Debs was, & like many of our Black political leaders currently are).

Fetterman is the worst. How you gonna ignore one of the sweetest comrades in the world? Personal anger aside, this is why I think the left needs to take the risk of being more rigorous & exclusive about candidate selection. The current strategy is risky too.

Last week, Fetterman got on Fox News to criticize Biden's liquified gas export pause.
In 2018, he had joined Sunrise and @RepDanielle to rally against fracked gas pipelines.
When a constituent asked why he flipped, he mocked her, then walked into a member-only elevator.

It is when you realize that homeownership is contributing to the climate crisis that ADOS is seeking to undermine and address on its platform. This is what happens when your solutions are rooted the goal of "equal appraisals." Is this ridiculous? Absolutely. Is it racist?
