When I read Psalm 116:1-2 I visualize God looking down on me and leaning in to ensure He hears my voice. He isn’t aloof or disinterested, but listens to every word I utter. He is never too busy to hear my pleas.

The Lord IS my strength and my shield and I trust Him to uplift and protect me. He has brought me out of the darkness and protected my soul from evil that sought to destroy me and my family. He lifted me from despair and planted me on solid ground. #faithinthefog

We are God’s children and, through Christ we have overcome the evil forces that threaten our peace. The Holy Spirit empowers us with all we need to battle anything that comes against us.
