I've never been a fan of the punishments available in CS.
A coach supposedly has been making "repeated violations" during a tournament, their opponents still lose rounds or are at a disadvantage but see no "benefit" to repercussions of him now being banned from the rest of the tournament - they're already eliminated!
Multiple warnings? It should be more along the lines of a single first warning, and following that if a coach makes hand signals during a round, simply 1 round to the opposition, double it for the next, etc Take $1000 away from all players on the offending team, whatever.
Make the punishment meaningful in terms of the ongoing match, not retroactively after they've already gotten away with winning!
#IEM Cologne Major 2026 Update:
Competitive Ruling - adr, Legacy
After reviewing repeated violations of the Major ruleset, the decision has been made that adr will no longer be permitted to coach the team for the remainder of the event's matches.
adr received multiple warnings for interacting with Legacy players during rounds, with the most recent incident involving the use of hand signals to confirm a strategy during a match.
