As a brewery policy we are apolitical and represent a spectrum of views. However, we can't view this post by @Gibbo4Darlo and say nothing.
This is a total lie!
Tax on draught beer hasn't gone up it is the same. The tax on bottles and cans has increased.
This increase is ~ 5p

Further to this new duty changes will prevent smaller brewers trying to grow from being able to
And.... Tax cuts for the big ones
Plus there is now a legal loophole that will allow macro brewers to save ~1 billion pounds in tax which has not been costed in.

Please do not ask your local pub why the beer isn't 11p cheaper because the answer is that it isn't. (unless it's a macro brewed beer and brewed under 3.4%)

This week we did an update for SIBA members on the detail of Scotland's Deposit Return Scheme. We showed that with typical decisions, a small craft brewer could need to more than double their prices to recover the costs of the scheme. (excludes deposit)
