Good work @timesscotland. Not only were the two agencies unscientific, negligent and prejudiced in failing to investigate the outbreak properly, they unfairly targeted the @ErringtonCheese family and business, causing significant financial, emotional and psychological toll.
Watchdogs ‘ignored’ vital evidence about Scottish E coli outbreak and failed to act on warnings that beef may be linked to the episode and not Errington Cheese bit.ly/3CNNSKY

In many ways I'm sure the Erringtons would like all of it behind them, but their refusal to buckle under the sustained attacks from the supposed protectors of public health in Scotland was entirely justified and also truly admirable. @timesscotland @ErringtonCheese

Discovering food and art on the walls of @NatGalleriesSco with our @QMUGastronomy students and @AnaTominc before finding a bit more served up by @Continibites at #TheScottishCafe. Great to be out and about among Edinburgh's riches. #studyfood @QMUniversity

My early nomination for word of the year: boffle. Came to me while listening to Boris waffle. Definition for #boffle offered by urbandictionary.com: 'anything and everything while being nothing'. Yup.

#Boffle: a typically vague, evasive, duplicitous response to a topic of national importance provided by Boris Johnson and/or his supporters. #bofflers

In case you haven't seen this yet. Traditional cheesemaking and other artisan food production is under real threat in Scotland. We need legal objectivity to push back against bad science, administrative overreach and indifferent politicians. bit.ly/2GLHsBC

And @DunsyreBlues, like @ErringtonCheese before them, are finding transparency going ⬇️ while lawyers bills (paid for by public purse) going ⬆️. Strange for them to clam up, as it wasn't so long ago SLC and FSS wanted everyone to know how dangerous the cheese was.
We are following the #ErringtonCheese case but so far all agencies involved have denied our requests for interviews. Now South Lanarkshire Council are even trying to stop us from filming their actions.

Hang on a wee minute. @fsscot quoted here saying that it’s really about Dunsyre Blue. But it was THEY who extended the issue to the other cheeses by banning them both and all but closing down @ErringtonCheese. Selective memory, alongside selective judgment.

Next time @fsscot asked for a statement, I hope they say ‘Sorry, we’re too busy drafting apologies to the Erringtons, all the staff they laid off and the small food producers of Scotland who are scared witless. Oh, and the taxpayers who have a bill for £500K and maybe double.'

Looks like the most compelling food show on screens this week isn't GBBO or GBMenu, it's @DunsyreBlues. It's about real food, real people and real injustice and unfairness. In Scotland.
Remember the 2016 Scottish food poisoning outbreak? 17 were hospitalised and a 3 year old died. 'Dunsyre Blue' cheese was blamed. Since then cheesemaker Selina has been fighting to prove the authorities wrong.

Don't know yet what @DunsyreBlues film will say but do know that anyone looking deeper into the @ErringtonCheese case so far (including courts and world experts in microbiology) thinks there's something seriously whiffy here – and it's not the cheese.
Hello World! Remember #themooman? In our brand new film we are investigating the Scottish food poisoning outbreak which hospitalised 17 people and killed a 3 year old. Raw milk cow's cheese Dunsyre Blue is publicly blamed. Very controversial. Watch 1st clip here tomorrow.
