Congrats Spurs. Couldn’t happen to a more worthy team.

Social media will tell you that every player on the Thunder is terrible, and they have been a #1 seed three times and a row and won a Championship, because the NBA just really wants a team led by a black Canadian, in one of the smallest NBA markets, to be the face of the league.
You’d have zero clue that Chet was the 3rd-best player of a championship team and has the record for most blocks in a Game 7 of an NBA Finals if all you did was check social media

Every post on here that says, "Sources say Sam Presti..." can be completely disregarded. The OKC front office has some mastery of not letting information slip. Real ones remember damn near every mock draft in 2021 having the Thunder draft James Bouknight because of "sources".

I wouldn't read too much about what Sam Presti says about players during his post-season press conference. About 3 weeks after this headline, Josh Giddey was traded.

Zero doubt that a healthy Jalen Williams on the Thunder beats the Spurs. Injuries are a part of the game, but many people wanting to blow up the team is wild when you look at the circumstances of the series.

10 years and 1 day ago, Chris Paul (@CP3) invites incoming High School Senior, and then-Florida Gators commit, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to his PG camp. Just 3 years later, CP3 and Shai were playing together for the Thunder.
Honoured to get the call from @CP3 inviting me to his point guard camp!!!💪🏀

The continuity of the Thunder roster is incredibly rare. Players get swapped out fairly quickly in today's NBA. For example there are 8 Thunder players that have been on the roster 4 years: SGA, Dort, I.Joe, Wiggins, JWill, JDub, Kenrich, Chet This will change. I believe it will be a minimum of two, with the most likely option being Dort and Wiggins or Isaiah Joe. So for us fans, we got to watch these players grow from unexpected 40 win team, to later Champions, to disappointment they didn't repeat. Sam Presti didn't go all-in on any trade. He allowed young players to become veterans, and it worked out. We have cap restrictions in terms of how much the owner will shell out, and we'll end up having to move on, which will impact the depth. Having that core together was a wonderful experience, and it will be tough when the actual moves get made. For reference: Number of players that have been on the team 4 years. SA - 4 NYK - 4 CLE - 5 DET - 3 PHX - 1 LAL - 4 HOU - 4 DEN - 6 MIN - 5 POR - 3 ORL - 7 TOR - 2 ATL - 3 BOS - 5 PHI - 2
