I am beginning a new term as @ParmaMayor. Molly, my 2nd grader, memorized the Oath of Office by ❤️. No need to read it. So proud of her as she swore me in for my 3rd term. #allstar

For 70 years, Del Holdash of American Legion Ohio Post #572 has played the bugle to honor our nation’s veterans. As part of America’s 250th birthday, Del is performing Taps 250 times at locations throughout Parma and North Olmsted. This captures No. 144 in the series. #taps250
Council and I were honored to see Mayor Gerald Boldt, his wife Jean and his adult children at the Bicentennial Time Capsule Reveal yesterday. Mayor Boldt was a Ward 6 Councilman (1971-1993) and the 12th mayor of Parma (1994-2003). He witnessed the time capsule burial in 1976.
Last week, we learned our time capsule was difficult to access and its contents damaged from moisture and mold. Despite these setbacks, we salvaged many items for yesterday’s public time capsule reveal. Council showed the hidden treasures to a full chamber of curious residents.
Treasures were revealed from our time capsule, buried in 1976 in City Hall’s front yard. Mayor John Petruska’s administration anticipated my administration would open the capsule for our bicentennial. We met those expectations and will give these items to our historical society.
Of course, we took a group picture of this historical moment with all the elected officials and residents who attended yesterday’s Bicentennial Time Capsule Reveal. #bicentennial#timecapsule
The Parma Area Chamber of Commerce Rib-N-Rock is in full swing this weekend at the Shoppes of Parma. Parma Heights Mayor and I Gallo had a great time helping to kick the event off with me last night! It was a great time and the party will continue all weekend long!

Tomorrow is the big day when we open the time capsule that has been underground for 50 years and reveal to the public what was placed inside in 1976. Can’t wait! Saturday, June 6 at 1 p.m, Parma City Hall’s front yard #bicentennial#timecapsulecleveland.com/community/2026…
Padua’s Baseball team is heading to the State Final Four for the second time in the last three years!
With a late-game rally, the Bruins earned a 6-5 victory over University School earlier this week. They’ll play in the State Semifinal vs. either Hamilton Badin or Vandalia Butler on Thursday, June 11 at 4 p.m. at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium in Canton.
