Another Defcon down, I got great big Goon hugs, I got to see old college friends and colleagues. We Gooned the Con, supported our community and did the thing once again. This week is always hard, prepping, packing, and taking care of people. I love you, see you next year #Defcon

You don’t know how much stuff you’ve been holding on to “just in case” until you start packing up everything. This is both metaphorical and physical, personal and work related. 10 year old ppt, 8 year old mason jar. Is it all the same?
Killnet is suspected of being behind DDoS attacks on US airports. They also claimed responsibility recently for DDoS on US state gov sites, as well as other countries opposing Ukranian invasion. The attacks have been mostly nuisance and not had much impact on operations.
Making my way back from .de apparently this means I get to spend 5 hours in PHX. But hey it’s not that bad; I could have to go outside. 100 degrees and flash floods?!?!

I was watching Papergirls on Prime last night. What seemed like a throwaway line to @ClffChmbrln really hit me. He said he was going to make sure she didn't die again. As an older brother having grown up in a household akin to the one in the show his delivery brought me to tears.
It was raw and simple, something I would do, if that had happened my to my little sister. I'd have tracked off of physics and poured myself into medicine. I don't know how this story goes, but that line, in that place, at that time all just resonated. Kudos, it really hit hard.
Oregon Supreme Court ruled in 1978 in State v. Epps that bounty hunting was considered kidnapping, outlawing bounty hunting in the state. Also applying the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act, which prohibits bounty hunters from taking defendants across state lines. Just sayin’.
