Had a lot of self-doubt over solo sighting of BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER at WWT on 29/8, but 1 at CVL on 31/8 adds much credence (same bird?). Thanks birding community for ID advice π Maybe hurricane Erin played a role in transportation to our shores π€

Some good birding in sunny Wiltshire. 2 Grasshopper Warbler (CWP82), Cuckoo. Garden, Sedge, Willow & Reed Warbler, plus Common & Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap. Hobby over. 5 Stone Curlew & Corn Bunting on the plains.

π Saviβs Warbler - a new one for me β
. At least 3 reeling in the reedbeds near Marismas de Cetina. Wonderful to watch them. Also Red-knobbed Coot & White-headed Duck at Laguna de Medina, plus plenty of b.p. Black-necked Grebe, Bee-eaters, Nightingale, Serin & Purple Heron

An endangered Northern Bald Ibis feeding its chick at the colony near La Barca de Vejer, Southern Spain. Great to see the species doing well here after reintroduction. Less than 1000 of these birds exist in the wild π± Hope this little one does well π€π€

Fab day birding S. Spain, West of Tarifa with @Otis_inglorius. Woodchat Shrikes stole the show. Calandra & G Short-toed Lark, Hoopoe, Collared Pratincole, Pallid Swift, Egyptian Vulture, Booted Eagle & lots more. Great to visit both Griffon Vulture and N Bald Ibis colonies. πͺπΈπ
