I would rather lose books than readers. If we accept the fact that we are in the business of losing books, can we be satisfied with a 90% return rate of books and 100% return rate of students?
My class was happily choosing books. It sounds like chatter, laughter, fun. It is NOT quiet. A teacher told them to quiet down because "this is a library." I did a little re-educating. Libraries = active learning. Active learning = noise.
We are excited to have our first in-person author visit since 2020! We welcome Brand Ricca and Matt Miller IN PERSON to our library on May 6th. With our 4th grade students, we will workshop, read, and ask about what goes into being an author and illustrator. @CIS_APS@CIS_PTA
💙 It's National Library Week! For students such as Ellie from STARFISH, the library is a safe haven. What do your kids love about the library?
