The day has come; largely due to the NHS...no longer does the first digit of my age begin with a 6! I don't do parties, just some grub in the garden with 4 grandchildren & a snifter, of course. More time spent looking back than forward. And I did hold that catch at slip in 1968!

Inspired by @BBCBreakfast couch to 5k reference this morning, I thought, I can do that. Got in the car, drove 5k to the leisure centre and gave my arthritic knee, shoulder, elbow and back a work out in the gym. I say gym, but the jacuzzi is next to it 🤣🤣

So, this coming week is #BritishPieWeek & with it, probably the worst tradition ever. "Pie jus" in other words, parsley sauce. The origin of which was stewed eel water & a pile of parsley. There is little more revolting than a tasty meat pie floating in tasteless pie jus. #GRAVY

Watched the #RoyalVarietyPerformance and one of the #valjeans has got a real vibrato problem. Struggle to believe that was coached, but he really would be better off as Tarzan! It really was most odd.
