Just been overflown by a Chinook that was so low I thought it was a truck charging up the farm track behind me! It only just cleared the trees ahead of me! Haven't been that close to one since I was in Kandahar 18 years ago! Couldn't stop myself waving, though!

What nonsense is being peddled by the world press? "Israel stops cardinal from entering holy site for the first time in centuries". Israel has only existed since 1948 or before the Babylonian empire (over 500 years before Christ). In between they've been subject to imperial rule.

10 years ago I safely returned to Port Stanley with my expedition team, after an epic 3000 mile sail to the Weddel Sea, Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia. Exercise Antarctic Endurance 2016 was my dream made reality thanks to the support of so many people!

Ignorance within the US administration is astonishing! The only reason the US has held the lead within NATO for all these years is that they've paid in the most per nation. It certainly isn't anything to do with leadership prowess! Open your eyes, USA!
