Here is a quote from CADC's website, that as a developer, I'd be pretty embarrassed to publish based on the assets they own & manage... "The Corporation’s contributions to the local economy are substantial, with a direct payroll of $750,000 and direct purchases of goods and services in excess of $1 million annually. CADC’s operating budget is $3.5 million and the corporation consistently provides an annual return of over $600,000 to its government shareholders in the form of property tax."

Folks ask me why so negative on CADC... here is one example why... land they purchased & semi-developed in 2008... 18 years later it still sits there undeveloped with no financial return... they've had opportunities to sell but "to stupid" to move forward cadcpei.com/wp-content/uploa…

It’s like a SCAM watching the City work… they punish homeowners & developers by making them adhere to heritage details for, railings, windows, siding, etc… but when it’s the City @PhilipBrownPEI doing the development they rape the heritage out of a structure for their benefit

A quote from Clint Eastwood… "You can't stop everything from happening. But we've gotten to a point where we're certainly trying. If a car doesn't have four hundred air bags in it, then it's no good". This is how I feel about how our Dept of Environment is operating on P.E.I.

It’s not only doctors buried in paperwork… it’s P.E.I.’s system of Red Tape bureaucracy that is keeping our Island from moving forward… hopefully, the current Gov’t review will address many of these issues. PEI family doctors are buried in paperwork. cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-ed…

P.E.I. needs a balance between environment & development but the pendulum continues to swing towards protectionism & the mapping system the Gov’t uses for identifying potential wetlands is imprecise & common sense needs to prevail when developing properly cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-ed…

No surprise here… add on PEI’s Red Tape and the general public’s Corporate Scapegoating why would anyone ever consider a startup here… sort of like why less good people are coming forward in politics as they watch politicians eating each other!!! cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-ed…

Charlottetown’s website says Spenser Dr Extension will be completed in 2026, but it previously said fall 2023, summer 2024, spring 2025, & fall 2025.Ā  It’s budget time so surely, we’ll see it approved ā€œagainā€ but the true question is will Chair Mitch Tweel deliver or divert funds

There was a Waterfront Visioning Session yesterday hosted by Downtown Charlottetown Inc. at one of PEI's biggest boondoggle's (the Atlantic Technology Centre) Consultants from another Province, that know little about our local economy, costs and regulations were giving out legitimate ideas from other creative communities thinking they would work here in our Downtown, BUT everything here is stifled by the 500 Lot regulations and it might be better to clean them up first and then move forward with creativity, like Downtown Halifax. The whole time the consultants were presenting ideas I was thinking about the foolishness of Council turning down the proposed above street lighting on Kent St that would have added some flare to our city but by the time something got approved by Council, it was watered down to nothing. But our Mayor was there taking notes... it's too bad our City doesn't have the leadership to move these ideas forward.

Had an opinion piece in the Guardian today & was identified as being a liberal by a reader. Well folks the liberals voted me out back in the Ronnie MacKinley days so I’m all over the place which is my choice (not a blood line) so today I’m a provincial Tory & a federal liberal šŸ˜Ž

Ever since I published the ā€œbring common sense backā€ article about the Mayor & the City @ChtownPE their staff won’t return my calls šŸ˜‚ the CAO & Manager of Planning seem to be in hiding… reminds me of the Peter Kelly days!!! timbankspei.ca/lets-bring-co…

Thinking the City @ChtownPE should run a contest to see which street has the biggest potholes… is it Saint Dunstan St at the back of Sobeys West Royalty or Superior Crescent… I’m sure there are others, so shoot us a note & we’ll create a poll to find the winner
