When to we shift the emphasis back to thriving instead of surviving? We the people control who governs us and we can change it. Find and elect optimists and builders. I’ve had my fill of grifters and breakers.

I don’t really know if it was staged. The scary part is that if it comes out that it was, I won’t be shocked. Thats a serious problem.

"Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death."

If the @Canucks are looking for a PR win…and let’s be honest, they could use one…there’s an empty net sitting right there with Tumbler Ridge.

Is there a single better example of the Dunning Kruger effect than the millions of complete retards who believe with all their heart that we never visited the moon because they are not personally satisfied by the ample supporting evidence?

“Do you believe in the firmament?” A reminder to anyone thinking about engaging in a debate - ask that question first. Before you spend time explaining, sourcing, or breaking things down, start there. If the answer is yes, you’re done. There’s no discussion to be had. You’re not dealing with someone evaluating evidence - you’re dealing with someone committed to a literal, unfalsifiable structure placed over reality, sourced from authority they consider beyond question. That belief isn’t being tested. It’s being protected. And once you recognize that, everything else becomes obvious: Nothing you show them will matter. Nothing you explain will land. Nothing you say will move the needle. At that point, the most rational response isn’t to keep going. It’s to stop. Or, if you feel like acknowledging it: “Ah, got it.”

No one ever said we “lost the technology” to go back to the Moon. That’s not what Don Pettit said in a 2016 interview. What he actually said was: “I’d go to the Moon in a nanosecond. The problem is we don’t have the technology to do that anymore. We used to, but we destroyed that technology and it’s a painful process to build it back again.” And the honest response to that is: So what? He said this decades after the Apollo program - after we had already gone to the Moon six times and landed twelve men on the surface. His comment has absolutely no bearing on whether those missions happened. What he meant is straightforward: The factories were shut down. The tooling and molds were scrapped. The materials became obsolete. The engineers and technicians moved on. The contractors moved on. We didn’t lose the physics. We didn’t forget how rockets work. We lost the industrial ecosystem that made something like the Saturn V possible at that moment in time. You can’t just snap your fingers and build another one. That’s all he meant. By 2016, we had: • gone to the Moon 6 times • landed 12 humans on its surface • built and operated over 10 space stations • maintained a permanently inhabited laboratory in orbit for over 15 years - the International Space Station (later joined by China’s crewed station, Tiangong space station) …and that’s when he said it’s a painful process to build it back again. So again: That quote clearly doesn’t mean what they pretend it means. Gotta Lie To Deny

“The real power in America is held by a fast-emerging new Oligarchy of pimps and preachers who see no need for Democracy or fairness or even trees, except maybe the ones in their own yards, and they don't mind admitting it. They worship money and power and death. Their ideal solution to all the nation's problems would be another 100 Year War.” — Hunter S. Thompson

Disgusted because I don’t take my politics from Trump rallies and Facebook memes? I think I’ll sleep comfortably. Imagine if we did bend the rules for Alberta: ignored population formulas, tossed out the Constitution, and just handed you extra seats because you’re mad. You’d sell the rest of the country out for a toonie and still call it “fairness.” Alberta isn’t underrepresented. It gains seats every redistribution. Your vote counts exactly the same as everyone else’s. Losing elections isn’t disenfranchisement, it’s democracy refusing to cater to tantrums.
I’m disgusted you’re from Saskatchewan. If you knew anything you knew that Alberta is extremely underrepresented in seats in the House of Commons and it truly means that our vote actually doesn’t count…..
