Mrs. Whitsell’s Kindergartners at Timber Ridge Elementary School (@TimberRidgeHCS) used their imaginations to draw creatures from shapes. Then Ms. Funte’s theater tech students at Union Grove High School (@UGHS_Wolverines) made stuffed animals from the Kindergartners’ designs. The young learners were thrilled to receive plush toys they’d dreamed up, while the “big kids” learned to hand sew and bring another designer’s creative vision to life. Our days are full of intense reading instruction that starts in kindergarten, to Mrs. Jefferson’s class crashing the teachers lounge, and ends with new friends excited to share their matching outfits! I love my school and I love my job!
