Introducing Adhara Maite PΓ©rez SΓ‘nchez, an exceptional 11-year-old prodigy from Mexico. Recently graduating with a degree in Systems Engineering, Adhara is currently pursuing Industrial Engineering. Despite her young age, her remarkable academic achievements have garnered recognition, including being honored by the Senate of the Republic in 2021 and being named one of Mexico's 100 most influential women.
Fuelled by a deep passion for astronomy and gravitational waves, Adhara is actively taking courses in these subjects at the esteemed National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Her ultimate dream is to become the first Mexican woman astronaut, a path she understands requires studying Astrophysics as her next step towards becoming a cosmonaut at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
