Here's proof that I've been obsessed with making an Indiana-Jones-esque movie my whole life. This is circa 1991, when I was 13 years old.

I thought I understood how games were made but this conversation with Remi taught me a lot. They are made kind of like movies (or maybe animation), but there’s a whole lot of other stuff to consider. x.com/mmihpodcast/status/101…

Episode 160 - Directing Video Games Remi Lacoste is a game director that's working on some of the most cinematic and emotional storytelling happening in games today including the upcoming "Shadow of the Tomb Raider." makingmoviesishard.com/ep160…

Good advice from Spike Jonze: “If you don’t like a shot just start turning off lights. You probably have too many lights on and it gives you a second to decide why you don’t like the shot.”

I was hopeful that switching from an iPhone to a Galaxy wouldn't be a huge ordeal but I can't do two simple things I did on my iPhone 1) stream music to my stereo and 2) sync my Notes. This might be a deal-breaker.

I'm proud of myself. I finished "Until Dawn" for PS4 and managed to keep everyone alive except for Chris. Sorry Chris I didn't pull the trigger fast enough. My bad.

When I was 9, I remember pitching a fit because I wanted to stay home and watch Big Trouble in Little China on HBO but was forced to go to the theater and see Innerspace instead. Apparently I never got over it.

I just set a timer using Siri and she said "Timer set. The suspense is killing me." Is anyone else's Siri a smart ass? Or is it just mine? This is not the first time she's had a 'tude with me.

I really need to learn that if I greet people by saying "Hola" there's a good chance they'll want to have a conversation with me in Spanish. And I can barely answer "Que tal?"

This is a really good one. Quintessential Making Movies is HARD! Podcasting about the emotional roller coaster of being an independent filmmaker x.com/mmihpodcast/status/930…

Episode 127 is chock full of good stuff. Alrik talks about moving to LA, Timothy talks about why The Spirit Machine hurts so much, and we answer a listener question from Tariq Taleb #filmmaking makingmoviesishard.com/ep127…

I spent less than $3 on lunch in college, $5 when I got a real job, and now that I'm a big time producer I try to keep it under $10. Living large, people.

I compared my work from ten years ago with what I'm doing today and it's clear to me just how much I've grown as a director. See for yourself! All those little baby steps add up over time timothyplain.com/tenyearslat…
