We have been sharing our toad patrol news here for 10 years but now feels like a good time for this account to go into hibernation. You'll still be able to keep up to date with our work via facebook.com/toadrescuebath/ or instagram.com/charlcombetoad…

Now is a great time to dig a pond!
It will rapidly fill up with water over the winter, ready for new life to arrive in the spring.
For advice on how to go about it, see our #JustAddWater guide: ow.ly/sQfH50TC8UR
Its fab to see our fellow patrollers in Warminster applying for a road closure to help the amphibians on their journeys to breeding ponds. We've seen ourselves what a positive impact closing a road has for amphibians. This would be a very welcome 4th road closure in the UK
Some of our volunteers have seen amphibians on the move across Charlcombe Lane heading towards the breeding lake. This is unprecedented as they normally start moving in February - our changing climate is confusing the biological clocks of our amphibians
With the very wet and mild weather frogs, toads and newts have been spotted on the move across Charlcombe Lane. Please drive carefully looking out for amphibians
