"The death of the old model of the world is shocking and traumatic." That's Obama's former political director, in Toronto this weekend, admitting the empire's model is dead. @SJKokinda on what they're trying to replace it with — and why it won't work.

Replying to @LeaderJohnThune
Hello Senator Thune, Let's expose what you're really doing with "reconciliation." You announced it yesterday, eleven months after the House passed the SAVE America Act. You're not trying to pass this bill. You're trying to kill it in a way you can blame on process. Here's how we know: Reconciliation requires the Senate parliamentarian to rule that provisions are "budgetary." Citizenship verification is not budgetary. Photo ID mandates are not budgetary. The parliamentarian will gut the bill. Then you'll shrug and say "we tried." We see through you. Meanwhile, you WON'T use the tools that actually work: Rule XIX limits each senator to two speeches per legislative day. Keep the Senate in continuous session, file cloture daily, and the filibuster exhausts in ~12-20 days. You dismissed it as "complicated." Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill. Harry Reid nuked the filibuster in 2013 when he wanted results. Mitch McConnell changed Senate rules THREE times and canceled the August recess. Chuck Schumer used reconciliation within months on a 50-50 Senate. You have 53 seats. You've changed nothing, canceled nothing, and waited eleven months. Now let's talk donors: • Goldman Sachs: $150K to you - top H-1B user • Google: $75K - lobbies against E-Verify • Meta: $72.5K - Zuckerberg's FWD[.]us pushes mass immigration • Wells Fargo: $90K - banks undocumented immigrants Same corporations sponsor Punchbowl News, where you sit for "Fly Out Days" which nobody watches except Congress staffers and K Street lobbyists who pays premium bucks for legislative intelligence. Their reporter then telegraphs to the audience the SAVE Act "will ultimately fail." Corporate money flows to you AND to the outlet that frames your inaction as inevitable. We see the loop. You called grassroots anger a "paid influencer ecosystem." YOU are the paid influencer. You take the wrong side of a 80% issue because you are indistinguishable from a K Street mouthpiece, and an ineffective one to boot who won't bend the rules to get anything passed. What we want: 1. Force a real talking filibuster. 2. Stop hiding behind process. 3. Pass the SAVE America Act. YOU will become the reason that we will have our butts kicked in midterms. Not Candace Owens, not Nick Fuentes, not anyone else. You and you alone, and all because you want to make the 200 or so viewers of Punchbowl Fly Out Days happy. You're living in a K Street information bubble, addicted to the comforts and praises of lobbyists masquerading as journalists. You mistake the steak and martini dinners you get invited to as your own constituents. You are not "moderate." The SAVE America Act has 98% support among Republicans. Name one other thing that has 98% support. You are an extreme minority who prides himself on being a calm leader, when in reality you are well in the running for the most ineffective Majority leader of all time. Prove me wrong. Do the bare modicum of effort. Not symbolic. Actual effort. Cancel the recess. Get SAVE America Act passed.

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4 a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…
BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

Got 2 fliers in the mail. One from @TrentAshbyTX and the other with @GregAbbott_TX 's picture plastered on it. They are requests for a mail in ballots. Easy as 1-2-3. Odd that both of them were against mail in ballots and pro ballot reform.

Do you know the difference between a Constitutional Republic and a Democracy? It's actually rather important, and also why our enemy within has long sought to gaslight the public into accepting the lie that our country is the latter of the two types of Government.

This has got to be one of the most well written, documented and researched letter I have seen to plea for relief ever! We will add this, with your permission, to our fight to take back the Republic and seek assistance to the people of Texas! We were up north after those fires and empathize, but also understand the debacle for Texas with the overreach allowed by these continued declarations. I’d love to have you be part of the Citizen Led Commission on Disaster Relief. This type of attention to detail is what we need to bring some plain ole COMMON SENSE to governance. Thank you, ~ Doc

Dear @AbbottCampaign and @GregAbbott_TX, whatever you do, don't steal Doc's plan to eliminate property taxes and call a special session to pass it, enabling Texans to actually own their homes now. That would just devastate our campaign 😉😏. x.com/DocPete4Texas/status/1…
Doc's plan for ELIMINATION of Property Taxes for Texans: Renting personal property from the State until one loses the property or passes away is unacceptable and in no way is how our Founders intended for us to live. As it stands, Texans are being taxed out of their homes to fund out-of-control local spending; and it’s being propped up by the State. Doc Pete Chambers will ELIMINATE this practice in Texas with a phased approach to total elimination. Doc will eliminate property taxes in the same manner he treated wounded Soldiers on the battlefield; stop the bleeding, treat the wounds, and stabilize for long-term care: ➡️Stop the Bleeding: Provide an immediate 26% relief on the bill you already owe while expanding the Homestead Exemption to 100%, eliminates property taxes for single-family owner-occupied homes & land and small-scale long-term rental homes. This will be put to a vote for The People of Texas in May of 2027, four months after Doc swears-in. ➡️Treat the Wounds: The State has enabled local municipalities to arbitrarily assign property values through local CAD (Central Appraisal District) boards with vague rules that incentivize large year-over-year increases. Doc will include CAD rule reforms to stop this practice in the immediate Legislative Session and any Special Session he calls to address Property Taxes. ➡️Stabilize for Long-Term Care: Doc will move local municipality funding to consumption-based systems and eliminate remaining property taxes through legislation agendas pushed through in his term. The Why Local municipalities assess and collect property taxes for local municipality use to the tune of $87.2 billion each year. This is exclusively through local municipalities; the State does not collect property taxes to fund State budgets. Under the current system, Texans are being taxed out of their homes, and the ever-increasing property tax burden is acting as a barrier for potential new homeowners. Because the State has enabled this unsustainable abuse, it is the responsibility of the Governor and the State to address this problem. Through improper Texas laws and regulations governing CAD boards, the State has disenfranchised 12% of Texans (3,676,617) who have no legal right to citizen representation on their local CADs. These CADs are exclusively chosen by the taxing entities (counties, cities, school districts, etc.). The taxing entities and CADs have no incentive to reduce how much they take from their neighbors each year. History has proven that no entity levying and using a tax has willingly decided to reduce their own budget without a forcing function. The remaining 88% of Texans receive meager representation on their CADs; only enough to give the illusion of representation, but not enough to ensure a majority vote on any issue. The How Moving local municipality funding to a consumption-based funding system is both sustainable and fair. No longer will one group of society shoulder the burden of providing funding for municipalities where all groups get or use municipality services. By implementing a final 3.82% VAT and a sales tax rate of 9.19% (a 2.94% bump), we can fully eliminate property taxes for Texans while ensuring local municipalities still have funds to operate. Doc will achieve a 26% reduction of the tax bill you already owe from the 2026 tax year by declaring an emergency and passing legislation through the 2027 Legislative Session to exclusively deal with property taxes. In this session, bills will be pushed through to retroactively reduce the tax burden, fix the rules and guidelines on CADs, and extend the homestead exemption for single-family owner-occupied homes to 100% through a Constitutional amendment to be voted on by The People in May of 2027. Additional Special Legislative sessions will be called to pass replacement funding mechanisms, via a 50/50 split VAT & sales tax. Exempted categories through the current tax law on sales tax will continue and be extended to the VAT system so lower and average earning Texans will not be disproportionally burdened. Through these sessions Doc will also push the legislature to pass a bill providing a Constitutional amendment to fully exempt small businesses* from property taxes with a proposed vote by The People in November 2027. This effectively eliminates property taxes for Texans within the first year of Doc’s term while still ensuring local municipalities can function. @DocPeteChambers is committed to returning true ownership of property to The People and getting government spending in check. In a truly free Texas, you shouldn’t be renting from the government for the rest of your life; under Doc Pete Chamber’s leadership, you won’t be. As always, we want your feedback on fixing these issues so we can make Texas a prosperous place for all future generations! *Foreign owned and out-of-State businesses will not be eligible for elimination of property tax. The same will apply to foreign & out-of-State owned homes. Texas should work for the benefit of Texans first, not foreigners. -Small businesses make up 99.8% of Texas's 3 million businesses. SBA standards and definitions (that Texas already uses) will determine what is or is not a small business. The elimination of the CAD system (It's extremely inefficient and Texas is the only State that does this) is a separate and longer fight that will be done by the end of Doc's term.

Doc's campaign is ran entirely on donations from The People of Texas, not foreign mega-donors, not special interests...YOU. We've been approached by large donors promising money, but with conditions that Doc performs some special act for them when he wins. That kind of practice is what's gotten us in this political and societal mess in the first place. Listen we get it, individuals want a ROI, especially because large donors are specifically targeted by Abbott's cronies when they break ranks and support someone else. They are putting their head out there to be targeted. That being said, all Texans, regardless of monetary capacity or influence, should be treated fairly and the policies and actions of government should aid ALL Texans. Doc's grassroots campaign is funded and ran by YOU. We need your support in whatever way you can; whether that's through a donation to the campaign, volunteering, using your voice in-person to speak with neighbors/family/friends about Doc, or using your voice online across platforms to spread the news that there's a real conservative leader challenging Abbott. give.cornerstone.cc/docchamb…

"Government is the servant and not the master of the people." That's directly from Texas Gov't Code. (§ 552.001(a)) Do you feel like you are the master over our Government? There are all these closed door meetings and then coincidentally timed big donations to the officeholder. Not with @DocPeteChambers. Not only is Doc going to directly communicate to each of you every day (as outlined below), but we are opening up the door to The People's office. Every time a lobbyist comes by the Governor’s office (as is their right to petition Government), we will live stream the meeting to The People. It's not just an expectation of transparency each one of us should have, it's supported by Texas law. Texas Gov't Code § 551.002 states that: "Every regular, special, or called meeting of a governmental body shall be open to the public, except as provided by this chapter." The uniparty working against you gets away with backroom dealing by skirting around this with ridiculous interpretations that "since it's a one on one meeting, it's not a Government body meeting". Interesting how they will bend the law to support their actions, but they won't lift a finger to help you, isn't it? Article 1, Section 2 of our Texas Constitution states "All political power is inherent in the people". When secret deals are made behind your back, it removes you from the process and, therefore, violates our Constition. Doc is not a man who violates his Oath, in fact, he's faced significant adversity and backlash for upholding it. It's well past time your elected leaders started living by the Oath of Office they took, and the day Doc swears in, we will finally have a Governor who lives it.
