Surely we mostly agree that defense industry and surveillance is lame, like as a biz. director, selling capacity to spy, to the highest bidder is just v lame/boring

If you're rational, you should understand that we're all emotional humans. And that we can, and deserve to, strive to solve the biggest challenges! But if your view of the future is deeply *boring* then you might just be providing downstream enabling for solvable human suffering

Pumping super finite, expensive, important-in-niche-industries (including medical) Helium into the most volume-enclosing bags imaginable, for a while, is a great idea. That'd be heaps good

And as for Hydrogen, why doesn't someone just figure out how to smoosh all the atoms together maybe using a spherical explosion, to combine them really fast and make lots of free helium. that makes sense.

I think the only logical solution is for EAS to obtain vast amounts of institutional capital and buy the world's Helium supply, fill up 2.2 trillion carbon neutral party balloons and just let them all go it'd be fun

What goes where? (Landfill is still somewhere. The ocean is still somewhere.)
