Half of my discussions with my wife now revolve around whether or not they received the two-factor authorization code. If so, "what is it?" And can they "repeat it a little louder."

Yesterday, I had one of the major highlights of my 49 years as an Earthling: I got to interview @neiltyson about his new book, "Take Me to Your Leader," a fun read about things you should consider if (or when!) aliens make contact. Story out tomorrow on @Upworthy.

Wow! It was 14 years ago yesterday that the @brianwhitman podcast was burning up the iTunes charts. Here's a throwback to Whitman, Norton, and me having a post-show conversation about our attempts to set Brian up on a Craigslist date.

Stoked to see this dude tomorrow night in Hollywood. Never thought I'd get to see a Beastie live again, let alone one dropping new music. #BeastieBoys #MikeD

#SNLUK was a little uneven, like SNL has always been, that's the fun of it. But Heather Wake @Upworthy did a nice job pointing out the show's clear highlight, Jack Shep's Diana impression. upworthy.com/comedian-jack-s…

Every year for over twenty years (until last year) a majority of people have said that crime is worse than it was a year ago. This while crime has been steadily falling (until the 2020-22 spike). People are awful at judging how bad crime is.

Your RX for today is… Watching The Wheels (demo) by John Lennon This demo version destroys Paul McCartneys entire catalog all by itself. The other day you guys voted for Paul’s solo stuff over John’s. I guess you prefer skittle ee bomp scoobedy duh over incredible introspection and honesty. You prefer C Moon over a man baring his soul. Letting the entire world in on his inner thoughts and dreams. Even his shortcomings as a person. You’ve all lost your minds. And, I am aware it’s not a competition. I love them both. I am attempting to inspire conversation. It’s social media

Stoked to learn that @SFGate used my podcast "LA's Own Marineland" as source material for a recent story on the park's history. The point of the show was to document the park's history for posterity, and it worked. sfgate.com/la/article/califo…

Totally shocked and taken aback by the death of Bob Weir. Really hard to know what to say right now. Just an absolute giant of American music.

Let us toast to animal pleasures, to escapism, to rain on the roof and instant coffee, to unemployment insurance and library cards, to absinthe and good-hearted landlords, to music and warm bodies and contraceptives... and to the "good life", whatever it is and wherever it happens to be.
