šŸ“š BOOK CLUB šŸ“š My top reads from the past month incoming I've spent my Sunday writing my little reviews... hope you enjoy my musings as much as I enjoy writing them! I've been reading like a woman possessed over the past month. Book reviews featuring: an elegant meditation on memory, morally slippery antiheroes and slow burn novellas (superb for if you're struggling to read atm) that really caught me off guard... in a brilliant way. Reminder I never post about books that I didn't personally enjoy. So these are all genuine reccomendations. A note on how I do my reviews: I turn down pages and write my thoughts directly onto the page then collate them when I have time. Like I've done today my perfect Sunday.

My full Paris itinerary!! Save this for your first solo trip or send it to a friend who needs a nudge 🫔 a trip I’ll never forget... šŸš‚ Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris (honestly the easiest part) šŸØ Checked into The Ritz (a MASSIVE treat) šŸš¶šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Strolled past the ElysĆ©e Palace (didn’t actually realise until I rewatched this back, hence the confusion on my face lol) šŸ›ļø Shopped at DM Market and Maison Caillau (both non negotiable visits) šŸ’†šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Back to the hotel for a massage šŸ½ļø Dinner at Espadon (book in hand for emotional support, highly recommend this tactic) šŸ’‡šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Blow dry at The Ritz salon (genuinely the best blow dry of my life!!!) 🌿 Morning stroll through Tuileries Garden 🄐 Brunch round one: Truffes Folies 🄪 Brunch round two: Le Moulin De La Vierge (the toastie speaks for itself, I have no regrets) šŸš‚ Eurostar home just in time for supper with James Also a reminder: you are so much more capable on your own than you think. This trip reminded me of that, and I hope it does the same for you šŸ¤ šŸ“Drop your suggestions below… where should I go next? Starting to think I might be getting a taste for this.

Brides of 2026, read this before anything!! šŸ‘°šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø I’ve been married a whole year now (how?!) and there are a few things I really wish someone had said to me… You do not need to make everyone happy. It’s your wedding, not theirs! If you want to do your own makeup… do it. I did mine and having that quiet moment to myself in the morning was honestly so special. The best part of our entire day. James and I escaping for ten minutes to sit in the car together. Just us. That reset was everything. Practical tip no one tells you: don’t wear straps in the morning. Just trust me. Please don’t obsess over what it looked like. Obsess over how it felt. That feeling is the bit that lasts. 2026 brides… what are you absolutely not compromising on? šŸ’

The fastest way to judge someone? Have a look inside their handbag. šŸ‘€ I’d like to say this was carefully curated… but unfortunately for me, this is just a very honest reflection of who I am. A fork (always), three fountain pens (no explanation), and Monty’s high-vis… for reasons I’m still unclear on. Make of it what you will. Calling all Londoners… I have a feeling this might be for you. šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ I’ve been here for over a decade now, and I still can’t decide if I’m completely obsessed with this city… or utterly overwhelmed by it.Ā  I think that’s the magic of London though, you fall in and out of love with it constantly. But lately I’ve been trying to actually notice it again. Not just rush from one thing to the next like a mad woman. šŸ™ƒ Because when you do stop… it’s kind of extraordinary. So consider this your reminder (and mine) to romanticise it all a little bit more!!! Side note… please tell me your favourite London spots. I’m always determined to find my new fave spot xxx Cardigan - @hayleymenzies a present from my beautiful friend Jeans - Paige Black base layer - @KarenMillen Shoes - @massimodutti

I can’t quite believe I’m saying this… but this is all my real hair. A year ago it was thin, breaking, and completely reliant on extensions. I wouldn’t go anywhere without them… not even my wedding, which probably says everything. At some point I remember thinking… what is this actually doing to my hair long term? So I stripped everything back and started again. I don’t have loads of ā€œbeforeā€ photos because I was so self-conscious of how bad it had got!! I also don’t think I ever imagined it would get better… so I never thought I’d want anything to compare it to. And now… this is all mine. Which still feels slightly surreal to say. I genuinely didn’t think I’d get it back to this. If your hair is currently hanging on for dear life… there is a way back. Speaking as someone who had extensions in for well over a decade. šŸ¤ Hair Products: Vita Coco Coconut Oil Dyson Airwrap Mason Pearson Hairbrush Champo Scalp Massager Nighty - If Only If Nightwear

Final outfit reveal of Cheltenham šŸ’” And I may have thrown in a slight curveball… jeans. After a whole week of race-day dressing, it just felt right for the last day. I rather love it - although I suspect it might divide opinion. So tell me… jeans at Cheltenham, completely wrong, or quite fun for the final day? What a week it’s been!! šŸŽ

Day 3 Cheltenham outfit reveal!! I fear the pony bag may be the accessory of the week... 🐓 I saw it and thought… if there was ever a week to carry a tiny horse around with me, it’s Cheltenham. 🫨 Slightly ridiculous? Possibly. But also quite fabulous? I’m desperate to know what you think… is it genius or utter madness? Xxx

Day 2 at Cheltenham, here I come. 🫔 The faux fur has entered the chat… Partly for warmth (because it’s chilly out here), partly because I live for anything animal print… Race week really is the one time you can lean into it all, hats, gloves, layers, the lot. But tell me honestly… is it a yes to the faux fur?? Very eager to hear your thoughts today! šŸŽ

Day 1 Cheltenham outfit reveal… ā™„ļø and I’ve gone for RED… which may be completely mad, but I rather love it. You certainly won’t miss me on the course, think of it as my way of saying hello, I’m here! I’ve been up since dawn far too excited to get going. Nothing beats that first day feeling!! Now be honest… is red for the races completely outrageous or do we love it? Eager to hear your thoughts! Let the fun begin… šŸŽ

Packing for Cheltenham… šŸ‡šŸ«” This is NOT a drill. Consider this your official warning. Months of preparation have gone into this moment, from meticulous outfit planning to intense weather monitoring 🫨. I can’t wait to show you this years looks… they’ve been a serious operation. If you need me over the next few days, you know exactly where I’ll be… The Guinness Village. Obviously šŸ™ƒ. Who else is as excited as me for next week??

One year married to you. I had a whole fantasy about what marriage would look like since I was about five years old and honestly? What we have is a thousand times better. The life we’ve built is extraordinary - the highs, the lows, all of it. Me and you my love, forever ā™¾ļø

I’ve had problematic skin for 15 years. So when a breakout appears… I don’t spiral anymore. I’ve learnt the hard way that panicking makes it so much worse. Throwing every product at it? BIG NO. Calm skin behaves better than cross skin. When it comes to covering. Less is always more. Start small and build slowly. What I actually use: @ErborianUK CC Red Correct @EsteeLauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation & Concealer @BurtsBeesUK Tinted Lip BalmĀ  (a bright lip is a distraction tactic) The goal isn’t to plaster it into submission. It’s to quietly outwit it. It took me a long time to realise this is just my skin, and that’s okay!!! Dress - @ManitoSilk

This is NOT the hair I expected from a Ā£39.99 Amazon hot brush 🤯 In all honesty, I didn’t have high hopes. As a loyal Dyson girl, part of me didn’t want this to be good… which makes this slightly awkward. It’s quick, it’s easy, and if I can use it then anyone can lol. The Amazon hot brush was Ā£39.99. The Dyson was Ā£500. Soooo If you’re looking for an easy, affordable alternative, this is the one… Hot hair brush - @AmazonUK

I read… A LOT šŸ™ƒ I treat books as my little escape, I don’t watch TV, so whenever I get a quiet moment, you’ll usually find me with a book in hand. A little reading rule I swear by! If a book hasn’t hooked you by chapter four, ditch it. Life’s too short and there are too many amazing books out there. You definitely don’t need to be a big reader to enjoy these!! Some are quick, some are cosy, some you’ll think about for weeks. I’ve just whizzed through them because I’m a fast and slightly obsessive… (borderline unwell) reader. I asked @ChatGPTapp to work out how many words I’ve read this month, and I nearly fell off my chair. Maybe I need to get out more 🤣. I’d love to know, have you read any of these? Or is there a book you swear I need to add to my list?
