🎉 What a Fantastic Finish to 2024! 🎉 We wrapped up an amazing year with a New Year’s Eve Party for children as part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Program! Our Beetlejuice (don’t say it three times!) themed party was packed with fun games, party food, making new year eve cards and chocolate boxes and an exciting Countdown to Midday—the perfect way for the kids to celebrate the new year. A huge THANK YOU to TJ Slim who went above and beyond by creating New Year’s Eve goodie bags for every child to take home. Your generosity made the day even more special! 🎁 A massive WELL DONE to Amanda, Karen, and Steve from the CT CIC team for delivering another successful HAF program and supporting families on Free School Meals this holiday season. As people wind down for a break this Christmas Eve, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on how the team have gone the extra mile this December to support those in need - see poster for details. We have been able to support hundreds of people who were struggling, making the season just a little brighter and providing hope for the future. Whether it was through food drives, toy appeals, holiday activities, or simply being there for those in need, every effort was made with love and care. As we look ahead, let’s carry this spirit of compassion into 2025. Together, we can continue to build hope, strengthen our community, and support those who need it most. 🎄✨ Our Festive Holiday Activities and Food Programme kicked off Yesterday – Christmas Eve, Eve – and what a fantastic start it was! The children had a blast making festive sweet jars, gift bags, and wrapping presents – getting creative and into the holiday spirit! 🎁 We wrapped it all up with a delicious lunch of sausages, smiley potato faces, and beans – a perfect way to refuel after a fun-packed morning. These sessions are so special, providing a safe and welcoming space for those living with learning difficulties, their families, friends, and carers. Overwhelmed with Gratitude 💖 Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, messages, and prayers today after what happened at The Commonwealth in Commonhealth Centre in the Castle Grounds. Your support means the world to us and is a reminder of the incredible kindness in our community. We were left so emotional today when the wonderful Cuppa and Craft Group that meets on Mondays at The Helping Hands Community Café donated £300 to help with the cleanup costs and repairs. What an incredible gesture of love and support! It’s moments like these that show how full of heart ❤️ our community truly is.
