It is thursday again and that means we take a closer look at another historical moment from the game.
When the German invasion of Norway began, the Norwegian gold reserve was evacuated from Oslo first over land to Åndalsnes and then by ship to Tromsø.

From Tromsø, allied forces shipped the gold to Britain, despite German ground and air attacks. The gold was later shipped to North America and most was sold to fund the Norwegian government in exile .
