At this point,all I want is for the four of them to be happy and healthy. If that means they never do another “public” thing, that’s ok.They’ve already given so, so much and it has to be enough. My support is unwavering and as quiet or as loud as they need, whatever THEY CHOOSE.

Things change, they always do, but the memories of the joy that brought us here to be together also bring us together through him, once again. His legacy lives on in every single happy memory-forever. I wish he knew. I wish it was enough.

On Saturday morning I lost my second Dad. He was part of my life for over thirty years and suddenly gone. If you’re lucky enough to still have your father with you never take it for granted.

On New Year’s Eve I danced with my step father of over 30 years. In early February he was walking 10,000 steps daily. Today, he’s been diagnosed with ALS. He can not walk unattended and has trouble speaking. My mother faces being widowed twice in her life time. Life is so fragile
