A5 (2/2) Elements I think that make it successful are: 1) there is a meaningful deadline, 2) it’s open ended enough to accommodate a wide variety of interests, and 3) it’s an exhibition rather than a competition. #InfyXRoads

A5: (1/2) I’ve been amazed at the creativity and ingenuity displayed by Young Maker project teams in response to a simple question: “What do you want to exhibit @makerfair?” #InfyXRoads

A4: The Maker Movement isn’t nearly as diverse as it needs to be. We need to do more to reach underserved communities. #InfyXRoads

A3: As others have said before: the essence of maker ed isn’t the resources, its the mindset. The Maker Mindset can be instilled with the simplest of materials such as cardboard, tape, straws ... I’m sure @JessicaKParker and @sdavee can elaborate. #InfyXRoads

A2: One challenge: parents often don’t understand the importance and impact of maker education. In a maker ed classroom they see chaos and ask “where’s the learning?” I know. I was one of those parents! #InfyXRoads.
