Interesting display at London St. pancras station of the brewing industry connection to the railway station.

Tory Mid-Leicestershire hopeful Peter Bedford asks which are the important issues, and then lists everything that the Tories have failed at since 2010. What I want to know is which Tory faction he supports.

I am so pleased that @seankellywalsh is standing to be the Labour candidate for Mid-Leicestershire. He has experience in fighting GEs (and lifting the Labour vote) and a belief in the people he'd represent as MP. Please vote for him if you're a Labour member.

Congratulations to the Tories in Scotland. Scraped over 1,000 votes in the by-election. Still lost their deposit. They'd better get used to it.

Sunak promised: “integrity, professionalism and accountability". About as achievable as any 'promises ' on transport. Except that the money will be spent - and nothing comes back.

Surely now is the time to announce no HS2 for Manchester! So many distractions from the Tory tomfoolery - Trump about to lose his empire, now Abercrombie sex scandal. Do it Sunak, you loser.

Current Chancellor Hunt says those not looking for work don't deserve the same benefits. That has to include most current Tory MPs, surely.

Since Twitter became a cross on a voting form (like), it has become, like Gbeebies, a goldfish bowl for the far right. Much happier with Threads,

October 12 - a book signing in a great Derby pub, the Old Silk Mill. 12 noon to 3pm. It'll be low key and relaxed – the complete opposite to The Straw Men. Bring your copy or just come along and say hello.

Do we have a handle on national UK security? Khalife rode away despite being on remand; two Westminster aides accused of spying allowed bail. 40 Wandsworth inmates moved (stables bolted after one escapes).

The Straw Men was published last month. I'd love to see some reviews on Amazon - and it's a bargain, exciting crime thriller through @fahrenheitpress and Amazon.

Soft porn fiction writer Dorries has new 'factual' book publication delayed for fact checks. That won't sit well with her or Johnson.

Not sure how threatening 2 more years on convicts refusing to appear for sentence will work. Killer Letby (whole life sentence) would begin to smell after she'd completed that!

One day I’ll get to Bloody Scotland, in Stirling. I have managed to grab this crackin’ T-shirt from @fahrenheit before someone protecting the Oor Wullie brand slaps a ‘cease and desist’ order on it. (PS. This is my latest book, available through Fahrenheit Press and Amazon.)
