I just learned Joe and Franks is closing. Some of the best sausages in the Chicago area. It’s a little bit of a haul from the house, but I make the trip every other weekend and pick up all kinds of different sausages for apps before the main course. End of an era. Thank you.

I voted in the IL primary yesterday and had to show an ID. I asked the poll worker about it was told you have to have an ID to show proof of residence for the primary but one isn’t required to vote in the general election.

Our friend’s quarterly dinner is this evening and 5 of the six hate, hate, hate Trump. It’s going to be interesting listening to them justify the Khomeini regime based on their dislike of DJT.

Our local butcher had 2”cut T-bone and ribeyes on sale. I picked up a T-bone and that’s a 12 oz. filet for reference.

A question for the Carnivores I follow in X land. Notice the color difference. The ribeye is from a cow I purchased earlier this year and the filet is from our local butcher, who I really like.
The cow is from a friend farm in Northern IL and the butcher says all his beef is raised within 250 miles of Chicago. Just curious about the color difference.
