CAR needs a new clutch ,bank account trembling at the thought, took car to garage this morning walked 2 1/2 miles home ,no aching muscles or pains or out of breath., in better shape than I thought.

It is with sadness that I have read the obituary on the RCN Offical Website that Chris Verity has died , she was a member of the inaugural Yorkshire and The Humber Regional Board with John Hill & me, she was also a well known RCN Activist.

I was unsuccessful for the RCN comittee , as I predicted , successful Candidate was from an area of our region which has the greater concentration of Uni's and NHS Trusts , My congratulations to the successful candidate . @organicbotanic

Celebrating my birthday , with good friend , unfortunately cannot visit our favourite restaurant , as he is unwell, so enjoying a cup of tea instead.@organicbotanic

A friend discharged from hospital, 34 miles from home, a trip around the countryside, last drop off. Home 1930hrs,sent home in hospital gown,dressing gown ,slippers ,he had 3 pairs pyjamas in his bag. no blanket from ambulance crew, he said it was a rather cool journey

I am standing for election for RCN Professional Nursing Committee, Yorkshire and Humber Region.My RCN activity is broad and varied: As an active RCN member, have a wide knowledge of the way in which the RCN works at all levels. Membership of the branch executive, regional board, Forum Steering Committee and Agenda Committee, has given me a wide knowledge of governance. This robust knowledge of governance and my multidisciplinary work experience in clinical practice and education means I am able to communicate at all levels within the RCN, NHS and independent sector. My diverse and multidisciplinary experience in nursing and education means I understand the pressures that all nurses are working in today. I am aware of what is required within the modern health service and the pressure, under which everyone works.My career spans secondary,&primary care, midwifery, Education, independent sector,Inspection Agency .Previously sister in charge of military medical centres&Gynae ward.

Interesting! " X " has decided I am under 18 yrs of age, Should I be flattered or otherwise? I will certainly not be uploading any personal documents onto a public website, A reminder, to the " system", a Registered Nurse has to be over 18yrs old .

Had a work assignment in the South East my journey was via the metropolis .Just managed to catch the train from the metropolis , with links to the connection for final part of the journey collected my car from my friends house and arrived home 23 30 hrs

weekend of gardening and gathering pears from the tree my father grew from a pip.That pip came from a pear, which in turn came from a very old tree in the garden of a house handed down through family, it was an old tree when my great grand mother was a child.

submitted my application for a committee, it is an election, but, I doubt if I will be elected , it will be not what you know,but who you know. application forms via web link are difficult to manage when living in an area with poor internet connections.

just completed 2 application statements for an elected committee position, within my professional union. Doubt I will be elected , but there needs to be competition @organicbotanic

My working trip to the Metropolis , was interesting and , I managed to catch the 19 0s hrs train . But, there is always a ,"but", my connection at another station was delayed by 45 mins , I eventually arrived home at just after midnight.

Good thing I am super fit , well hopefully I am , Work company pays for overnight stay, they have booked me into a hotel 5.6 miles from rail station , no lifts in hotel, no breakfast included,and 5.4 miles from where I am working !@organicbotanic
