Tonight we celebrate the greatest gift of all time —Jesus, the light of the world. From our family to yours, may your hearts be filled with His peace, hope, love, and joy. Merry Christmas! ❤️
ALT “The most important instructional resource will ALWAYS be the Teacher. Not the technology, activities, or programs. The Teacher!” —Tom Loud, School Founder & Director
ALT “If we expect students to be kind, we need to be kind adults.
If we expect students to be cooperative, we need to be cooperative adults.
If we expect students to be responsible, we need to be responsible adults.
Model. Model. Model.”
—Lisa Romano, Teacher
I have a teacher friend in LA going to the World Series with his elderly father. “I feel bad taking Friday off but the traffic is insane and we are walking in when the gates open.”
My thought: You’ve spent 24 years covering classes, doing IEP meetings, chaperoning dances. Take the day off. I promise you the kids will be okay.
Hot take: teachers are human and mental health days have to include things like a World Series game with your 78 year old dad. Full stop. Just go.
In a world that promotes tearing others down to build ourselves up, we can make a difference by using our words to bless and encourage.
And simply giving kind words is one of the greatest ways to make the love of Jesus known to those who so desperately need it.
