I'd like to hear from whoever has been selling all the high 5 and 6-figure .co domains through NamePros landers, if anyone knows who this is.

Hey @Spaceship how about a custom default name server setting so I don't have to update every new domains name servers manually, please? Looks like you've taken a page from the Network Solutions playbook here.

Thankfully Afternic's Schrodinger's Login bug isn't strictly enforced. Sometimes in adding domains I get booted back to a login screen that won't accept my login (can't submit). I then navigate back to the Add Domains page and it always works the second time around.

I checked a random 900 dictionary keywords across the top 10 TLDs: Developed %: com 71% org 47% io 39% ai 39% net 35% co 35% dev 28% tech 28% app 22% xyz 13% .net losing ground. ai/io/co passed it despite 20yr head start .xyz, almost all speculation; 74% for sale, only 13% live

I notice that the few AI that I use are now programmed to reverse prompt me, ending their answers with questions. All the models are kind of evolving in tandem, more or less.

🤔
Gloria Caulfield was booed at the University of Central Florida commencement speech when she called AI "the next Industrial Revolution." One student yelled "AI sucks." Students cheered when Caulfield said "only a few years ago AI was not a factor in our lives."

Even as a non-broker, I get frequent emails from people asking "can you help me sell RandoBlahblah.com?" probably because they've already reached out to many brokers and gotten the same response ...

I love selling domains but sellers let’s understand something. Outbound only works when your domain has a clear path of potential buyers. If the name obviously belongs to fintech, dental, logistics, whatever, we know exactly who to call and how to frame the value. A random misspelled word with no obvious meaning or buyer, there’s nobody to pitch. Clients looking for specific domains of course but that’s not the outbound brokers do. Not every name is outbound material.

Did @GoDaddy just sell Hantavirus.com? It looks like the company may have sold this domain name as reports about a Hantavirus outbreak have been in the news over the last few days. Here's what I found: domaininvesting.com/did-goda…

After a very quiet March & early April, I've had a slurry of sales the past 2 weeks. My guess is there was a lot of pent up demand, after people playing cautious with purchase decisions during the outset of the war in Iran. Just a theory to explain the lull followed by a burst.

Unfortunately one sale was this one that got reversed, & another was at Sedo for a name I no longer own. 😂 Can't win 'em all I suppose. Still, having a good run. x.com/TopShelfNames/status/2…

Was excited for my first end-user sale at Spaceship, as well as my first ever .vc sale. Then I discovered SS doesn't support .vc regs or transfers, & since it was an LTO deal, they had to cancel it. Hoping the buyer will pony up full price or come back through Afternic. 🤞

Odd that no one took an interest in my previous tweet. So then this is just going to stand?
That feeling when you find out Namecheap Marketplace's "partner" auctions are them pre-auctioning pending delete domains, after winning one and then getting an "auction is cancelled" notification because it was caught by a dropcatcher.🤡

This reads like a horror story or something out of The Twilight Zone
Last week GoDaddy moved a 27-year-old domain from my friend's account to a stranger who never submitted a single document. They used an email signature to identify the parent domain and just transferred it. Here's the full story: anchor.host/godaddy-gave-a-d…

Update: It's been 3 years now. I just sold the domain for $15,000 to the same end user. They tried to trademark the obviously generic term. It was refused. All this nonsense could have been avoided by just paying a fair price to begin with.

How you don't attempt to buy a domain...🤦‍♂️ Offer $11,000, then when I counter you make baseless legal threats and offer $5,000. This is a generic term, no registered TM. Domain registered for 20 years. Classic "Plan B" attempt. Redacted info - for now.

👀"I published a completely blank website. — white page, zero visible content. But seven layers of structured data underneath: JSON-LD, llms.txt, Ed25519-signed entity claims. Within 36 hours it became the no. 1 cited source in Perplexity. ChatGPT cited it independently - > No human ever saw content on that page."
