SINGER MDUDUZI NCUBE SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON WHY HE LEFT INKABI RECORDS
"The core issue that caused our dispute and disagreement was money."
These are the words of Singer Mduduzi Ncube who has since formed his own record label called Blvck Bird Studios.
Mduduzi has finally spoken out for the first time on why he dumped Inkabi Records.
The Dear Ex Yami hitmaker, took to his social media posts and shared that besides all the grievances he had with Inkabi Records but what made him leave the stable was money and loyalty.
Mduduzi posted:
"What good will it do to share my side of the story? I do not even know what happened to the royalties for my song 'Dear Ex', but I will not let this go. It is incredibly painful to work hard for money you never see, or to simply have it taken away from you. The list of grievances goes on, but for the sake of you, my family, I need to write this even if it is not formally drafted,' he wrote.
Mduduzi said he has accepted being called a liar, but he must explain himself.
"I worked hard at the main household (the record label), and I truly appreciate the exposure, love, and support they invested in growing the name Mduduzi Ncube. I remain forever grateful to my elder brother Big Zulu, for giving me strength and believing in my talent.
"The core issue that caused our dispute and disagreement was money. I do not wish to dwell too deeply on it, but the truth must come to light. I am deeply hurt, but no one will notice because I choose to smile and brush it off. I am a person of the people, so everyone I meet deserves to feel love and joy, as they are genuinely happy to see me," he wrote.
Speaking on Gagasi FM, Big Zulu said he does not know what caused the fallout between him and Mduduzi.
He has publicly broken his silence to clarify that there is no bad blood or animosity between them.
Big Zulu expressed deep mutual respect, maintaining a strong personal relationship with Mduduzi and stating they will still collaborate on future projects.
Following the exit, Inkabi Records focused on its future by signing a new talent, Fanatic SA who was working with Blvck Bird to fill the gap on its active roster.
