In 2020, I joined Roblox during the pandemic, dreaming of building a game. That project failed — but I didn’t stop. Nearly four years of experimenting, learning, and trying again followed. Can someone explain why anyone would buy a single item for 81 Robux when you can get 4 items for 54 Robux? I don't have a PhD in economics, but I'm pretty sure this is hurting the entire Marketplace ecosystem: creators, the platform itself, and item quality. #Roblox, why not just continue charging me after the free trial expires like every other service? Why create a separate subscription and force me to cancel the main one, with the anxiety of losing the Plus features my business relies on, only to have to remember to subscribe again later? It may seem like a minor issue to outsiders, but Roblox is full of these small frustrations that make using the platform miserable... especially when working on it professionally. I'm disgusted by the company's low quality standards, and its management should be ashamed. It feels like whoever is in charge has become detached from reality, chasing some grand visionary future while ignoring the basics, distracted by a flood of AI slop features pushed by teams (probs using agents) optimizing for productivity metrics rather than solving real user problems.
