Oga carried his wife on a surprise date to the mechanic workshop. This is the kind of problem-solving they don't teach in marriage counseling. 😂😂

We're from small towns and simple homes, with stories of struggle. We're not trying to show off or compete, we just want to change our family's story and win the battles our parents couldn't. #viral

This famous story comes from the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, the last conflict in which Liechtenstein's tiny army was mobilized. The principality sent a force of just 80 soldiers to guard a mountain pass on the border between Austria and Italy. Interestingly, they never saw combat and did not fire a single shot during the campaign. When the mission ended, all 80 soldiers returned home safely. A popular legend later claimed that they came back with 81 men because they had befriended an Austrian liaison officer or local companion who accompanied them on the journey home. The tale spread widely and became one of Europe's most charming military anecdotes. Historians debate the details, and some believe the "81st man" story was embellished over time. What is certain is that Liechtenstein suffered no casualties during the expedition.

There are some songs that instantly bring back memories. I can never forget Craig David's songs. Whenever I listen to "7 Days," it takes me back to my secondary school days and reminds me of my Girl friend Dorcas. Music truly has a way of connecting us to special moments in our lives.

This tweet by @Wizarab10 reminded me of my mother when she came from Lagos to Abuja for Omugwo after the birth of my first child. Just three days after arriving, she started complaining that everywhere was too quiet. She missed the lively atmosphere of Lagos, where even at 2 a.m. you can hear vehicles moving and the sound of prayers from mosques. After struggling to stay for just two week, she told us she wanted to return to Lagos because she couldn't cope with the silence. I understood her completely. Lagos is all she has ever known. Even at 72 years old, my mother is still very active. She doesn't like staying indoors. She still boards buses and motorcycles (Okada) to sell pure water at Ijegun Comprehensive High School in Lagos. Mama's strength and determination continue to inspire me. ❤️
I always wonder if I would love Lagos if I wasn’t born here. People who come from outside Lagos never seem to like it. It explains why I don’t like London. People get confused because I like Lagos and I explain that they might be similar but Lagos is home, London is not. I prefer quiet cities in the UK but I like my Lagos because I was born and raised in the chaos. I’m always in a hurry to leave London. I don’t know if it makes sense but na so e be.

2 days ago, I was talking with a woman whose son is now living in one of the countries in Europe. . This woman is someone who likes to talk a lot about how people should dress. . If she sees any man or woman dressing in a way she does not like, . she will say things like, “This one is not Christian,” or “This is not bible culture.” . She likes to correct people and talk as if she knows what is right and wrong for everyone. . But what she said 2 days ago was totally different from her usual way of talking. . Here is what happened …… She showed me a picture of her son who is living in Europe. . And I saw something surprising. Her son was plaiting his hair. . Yes, he was doing his hair like how some ladies do in Nigeria. . I looked at her and I said …. “Mummy, so Ifeoluwa (not his real name) now plaits his hair?” . She said, “Eeeh, you know children of nowadays. That is what he said he wants.” . When she said that, I kept quiet … But in my mind, I was thinking: . so this same thing you will condemn other people for, . your own son is doing it, and you are now giving excuses? . But when it is other people, she will not understand. She will talk and talk and even judge you. . I want you to know that many people are like this woman. . They are quick to judge other people. They will say what is right and wrong for others. . But when it is their own family, they will now explain what it is like that. . This is what we call religious talk without real understanding. . As in, if something is really wrong, it should be wrong for everybody. . Not only for other people or their children and family members …. Not only for people you do not know. . And if something is not really a sin, you should not turn it into sin just because you do not like it. . Some things are just personal choices. Some things are culture. . Some things are just how young people like to live their life today. . I want you to learn a lesson here ! . Do not allow anybody to confuse you with too much religious talk that has no balance. . Always ask yourself: is this really wrong in God’s word or is this just what people like or do not like? . Am I judging others, but excusing myself and people that I love? . Because many people are not always telling the truth. . Some are just talking about feelings and personal opinions. . That woman I spoke with is not the only one. Many people do the same thing. . But you must be careful. Do not follow people’s talk without thinking. . Know the real truth for yourself .. Because the truth is not changing. What is wrong is wrong. . And what is not wrong should not be turned into wrong because of personal feelings.

When a female mosquito bites, she doesn't simply suck blood. First, she injects saliva into your skin. This saliva contains anticoagulants and other compounds that prevent your blood from clotting and help the mosquito feed more easily. Your immune system reacts to these foreign proteins, which is what causes the familiar itchy bump afterward. The "peeing" part is also based on real science. Mosquitoes take in far more fluid than they need while feeding. To avoid becoming too heavy, they quickly expel excess water and waste droplets during or shortly after a blood meal. Researchers have observed mosquitoes excreting liquid while feeding, allowing them to concentrate the nutrients they need from the blood. Only female mosquitoes drink blood because they require the extra protein and nutrients to develop their eggs. Male mosquitoes never bite humans and survive entirely on nectar and other plant sugars.

As a teacher and a father, I have met pupils who can test your patience with their stubbornness, poor hygiene, or lack of coordination. Despite this, I have made up my mind to always use the gift God has given me to encourage and build up my pupils. Even on the streets, if I see my pupils, I take time to correct them and ensure they are doing well. You will never find me insulting, humiliating, or abusing any child. The words we speak to our pupils and students have great power. They can either inspire confidence, hope, and motivation, or leave lasting wounds that affect them deeply. As educators and parents, we must choose our words carefully and remember that every child deserves encouragement and guidance.
There was a 9 year old boy who is always playful and always looks dirty when coming from school, coincidentally his father happens to be a Drycleaner Whenever he plays in school his teacher would always tell him he is as dirty as a pig But he wouldn’t mind until one day he came to church and his Sunday school teacher saw his cloths though not dirty but visibly distress and unkept His Sunday school teacher muttered the same word, u are as dirty as a pig despite the fact that ur dad js a dry cleaner The Sunday school teacher continued I would have sent u back home to go change but next time don’t dress this way But at that point the did was done, the boy has had enough He told his Sunday school teacher he was going to change at home, unknown to the teacher the poor boy was going to commit S¥!C!D€ He got home and but for his neighbor who saw him, he could have killlllled him self How heavy some words might be that we never know the impact it has on people The neighbor brought him back to church and saw the Sunday school teacher and asked him If someone called u a poor man as poor as a church rat how would u feel The Sunday school teacher felt bad and appologised and since then promised to careful with his words We can correct people without having to make them feel less of themselves A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger says prov 15:1 Mind your words either jokingly or deliberately And if you have nothing good to say, SAY NOTHING AT ALL Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. I TOOK MY WIFE SOMEWHERE SHE NEVER EXPECTED My wife has a PhD in b@shing car. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this or it's a thing with most women. If she drives to town and come back, you must see a new dent. But she will always be like "I was on my own jeje when one man came to h!t me"... Lori iro! Sometimes, she will deny totally that it was not when she dr∅ve the car that it got the dent. She can even say I should ask my side chics that I used to give lift 😭 I'll keep quiet, carry car and go and fix it. Sometimes, I may spend the whole day in the mechanic shop. Once I bring it back, madam will carry it and go and do as she used to do again. If I talk, she will say me I should take my key now. It's car that I have, I'm not God. She will even say because I refused to buy a separate one for her, that's why I'm always noticing everything. I thought of what I could do to stop her from driving like a b@nd!t 🤣😂 3 weeks ago, on a Saturday morning, very early around 8a.m, I told her, baby dress up, let me take you out. She rushed and bathe, and sprayed perfume, and said let's go. We passed all the places we usually go to relax, so she was wondering where we were going. She asked... Wify: Babe, we've passed where we used to go and chill oo. Where are we going? Me: Don't worry, I just discovered a new joint in town. You will looooove it! I could see the excitement, the joy on her face. I drove her straight to the mechanic shop... Wify: Babe, what are we doing here? Me: Oh, sorry dear. I just want the mechanic to quickly fix the small dent. It doesn't take long oo. Before you know it, he has finished. Once he's done like this, we'll go and chup life. Wifey: Okay oo. No problem. I excused the mechanic and planned with him to waste time very well! Then I told my wife that my boss asked me to go and attend to an emergency, so, she should help me stay with the car. I promised not to take long. That was how I left madam with car oo. 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours.... She called and called, I kept telling her I would soon finish. I got there around 4pm and saw her looking very angry. She come swell up like bread wey dem soak inside tea 🤣😂 I started begging her oo... Oh my baby, I'm sorry. It was my boss that delayed oo. I even called mechanic to comman join me to beg her 🤣🤣 And I shouted at the mechanic for wasting my queen's precious time0😛😜 Well, time was already approaching 5pm, so, I asked her... Me: Babe, can we go to where we wanted to go now? Wifey: By this time? Noo. I'm tired please, just take me home, let me go and rest. All my body is paining me. In my mind, I said "Thank you, Jesus" 😛😜 That was how we came back home quietly. I promised her that we'd go out when next I have chance 😜 Ladies and gentlemen, here's the sweet part of the gist...my wife has driven for good three weeks now, even small bash like this, she did not bash. No new dent on the car. As we were going out today, I asked her to drive. One keke man was just following her closely. She lowered the glass and brought out her head and shouted "Oga, no bash me oo" I said "Bravo! This is the woman I married" Now, I have realized that sometimes, the way to make women adjust is not to keep doing gentleman. Just use wisdom with a little touch of egusi for egusi. Now that she has seen how stressful it is in mechanic's shop, she don calm down by herself. Please, nobody should tag my wife to this post, I'm not feeling fine 🙄 OBINRIN BURU O! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️ © John Adesogan #Copied

Just a piece of advice to some farmers Learn poultry. But learn marketing too. Don't only spend months learning brooding, vaccination, feeding, medication, and bird management. All of that is important. But there is another side of the business that is equally important: Selling. Because the goal is not just to rear birds. The goal is to sell birds profitably. One mistake I see some small-scale farmers make is focusing 100% on production and 0% on marketing. You rear the birds successfully. The birds mature. Then you start looking for buyers. At that point, you have already lost some of your bargaining power. And that's when many people complain that market women are frustrating them, prices are poor, or buyers are nowhere to be found. But the reality is that large-scale farmers rarely face this problem the same way. Why? Because many of them have spent years building a customer base. Before their birds mature, they already know where a good number of those birds will go. As a smaller farmer, you may not have that advantage yet. That's why you need to be intentional. The same energy you put into raising your birds is the same energy you should put into marketing them oo. Talk to potential buyers early. Build relationships. Collect phone numbers. Use WhatsApp. Use Facebook. (For those online) Create visibility. Let people know what you're doing before the birds are ready. Because poultry farming is not just agriculture. It is agriculture & business. And business without customers is simply an expensive hobby. The technical side of poultry will help you raise birds. The marketing & sales side will help you make money from them. The farmers who learn both usually do better in the long run. Just something I felt like sharing this morning.
