In 2020, I went all-in on Elrond.
Not because I was chasing the next pump.
Not because I wanted to diversify across 20 different projects.
I simply believed in the team.
Back then, the Elrond team had something that very few projects had:
a clear vision
innovative technology
exceptional execution
people who seemed capable of building something truly significant
I invested because I believed in the people behind it.
Six years later, I find myself facing another major investment decision.
And just like in 2020, I’m looking for a team that can deliver more than promises.
For the years ahead, my choice is
$NEAR.
I’m not saying it’s a guaranteed success.
I’m not saying it will replace Ethereum.
I’m not saying it will become the leader of the industry.
But out of all the projects I’m following today, it’s the one that gives me the strongest “Elrond 2020” feeling.
The difference is that today’s market is being shaped by AI.
And
$NEAR appears to be one of the few blockchain projects that isn’t just talking about AI but is actively building infrastructure around it. Its co-founder, Illia Polosukhin, was one of the authors of the groundbreaking “Attention Is All You Need” paper that helped lay the foundation for the modern AI revolution.
Today,
$NEAR is positioning itself around:
AI Agents
User-Owned AI
Chain Abstraction
Seamless cross-chain experiences
Making Web3 accessible to everyday users
What I see is a team trying to solve real problems instead of simply following narratives.
In 2020, Elrond was one of the few projects talking seriously about scalability when most of the market barely understood the problem.
In 2026, NEAR is one of the few projects seriously building for a future where AI and blockchain converge.
More important than the technology itself is the feeling I have.
Back in 2020, I felt the Elrond team was several years ahead of the market.
Today, I get the same feeling from
$NEAR.
Maybe the market will choose different winners.
But when I look across the entire crypto landscape,
$NEAR is one of the very few projects that I believe has a realistic chance of breaking above its previous all-time high in the next cycle.
Because the biggest returns rarely come from buying what’s already popular.
They come from identifying exceptional teams early and giving them time to execute.
In 2020, I made my bet on Elrond.
In 2026, I’m making my bet on
$NEAR.
I’m often wrong, just like everyone else in this space.
This is simply where I’ve decided to place my conviction after following the industry for years.
Do your own research and manage your risk accordingly. 🚀
Time will tell whether I’m right.
