I'm coding a new tool for Blender 5.1. If you work with #blender#3d#anime and need control to color grade your scenes, the early release of the tool will be available at: patreon.com/3dcinetv
Tyler Wilson shared a quick test of his real-time tension solver in Unreal Engine 5.
It can be used to interpolate between different values in stretched or compressed areas: 80.lv/articles/custom-real-t…
I can't stress this enough, probably the best addon to refine mocap animations after retargeting. It simplifies by a lot the default NLA layers system!

The most realistic muscle system I've ever made
Now accurately simulating the whole arm, biceps contraction and triceps relaxation, all driven only by 3 helper bones.

Keeping that sharp elbow when the arm bends.
Rigging Tip: don't oversmooth your weight paint, joints shouldn't turn into round blobs. Study reference videos to see where anatomy (like elbows and knees) is sharp during a bend.
Don't rely on helper bones as bandaid.

Some progress on the Scatter addon I'm working on for Blender, got distracted with adding a cable generator 😅
This is the main mode, simpler cable generator:
Blender 5.2 has a new shader feature called "thin wall" which is designed for meshes which have no thickness (or very little).
These can be anything from leaves, paper, tissues and some thin plastics

Hey guys, there is a new mocap solution around.
For you all that like to try the new stuff 😉
@Viggle_PINOC contacted me asking if I would like to try this new tool. I'm so deep on the SAM 3d thing that would be hard to proper test it, but I said that I could share the link with you all
Here is the link

From what I saw, looks like they are working hard to make it better with their own model.
A walkthrough of what PINOC does: 🧵
1. Upload a motion video, get clean skeletal animation. Export as .fbx/.glb, ready for Blender/Maya/Unreal or other 3D software in your workflow.
No mocap suit needed. Completely FREE.
