Are we sure the Sabres haven't/won't make the Leafs a Godfather offer for McKenna? Like would Helenius, Power, Mrtka and two first rounders not at least start a conversation - I feel like trade value wise that would be the difference between Parayko and McKenna let alone Pegula's desire to get McKenna.

It's costing the various levels of government a cool billion to host 12 world cup games but Toronto didn't build a news stadium, or even do a Rogers Centre style reno, but instead did a bandaid temporary seating for their games and Vancouver's soccer team isn't happy with it's stadium so they're moving to Las Vegas? The most Canadian government thing ever. Total ineptitude at all levels. You spend on these events to build infrastructure not to host soccer games.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but the government spending a silly about of money on bringing the World Cup to Canada doesn't mean that you should get to go the games to or even participate in the ancillary events. The World Cup is a for profit event, they should charge whatever they want. If our government isn't making expenditures like this in a sensical manner with the idea of bringing in tourism dollars then they are doing a bad job.

I know these conference finals MVPs are a new thing in the NBA but we do so in hockey sometimes the Finals MVP is from the other team. Could the Thunder win and Wembenyama be the Conference Finals MVP? I think so . Also, could the Spurs win and anyone OTHER than Wembenyama win the MVP? I don't think so. So doesn't that mean that Wembenyama Conference Finals MVP at slightly longer odds is a better bet than Spurs to win the series?
