We just finished week 12 of our training, a brilliant journey with our Migrant Community Networkers! Coming together from all over the world, in the beautiful city of Wakefield 🎉 what a great journey it's been, hopefully some exciting times ahead!

2 wonderful years of @TouchstoneMAPP has seen 116 #migrant community networkers, 30 befrienders and 11 Community Health Educators completing our course. Congratulations #Leeds
People Powered Proverbs participant shared: "this group is good for my confidence, to try new things, but also has got me thinking about the English language in new ways and made me want to know more about other people's languages and cultures"

The first session of People Powered Proverbs was wonderful. There's something powerful about having the space and time to share childhood memories and discover the connectivity between sayings in various different languages.

Today we discussed (and debated!) the new organ donation opt out law, which will be in place in a few months time. Some interesting scientific, social, cultural and faith based conversations in todays group.
We still have spaces available at the People Powered Proverbs language and art project. If you would like to join and would like us to save you a place, please get in touch :)
Look at all these amazing people! One of the best things about the Migrant Access Project Plus is the meeting of great minds coming together from all over the world, in the beautiful city of Leeds 🎉 what a great 12 week journey it's been, hopefully some exciting times ahead.
