Pretty striking that even today in Kyiv, the Ukrainian government press conference had sign language interpretation. Something the UK government still can’t seem to manage.
Dear friends - many of you reached out with words of solidarity and a question "what can I do?". Here are some (rather simple and straightforward) ways you might want to #StandWithUkraine: 1/4

CW // rape, incest
This campaign wants to help 2 of @JoashJG's students; one of them (only 12y) was violently raped by two men (one of them her grandfather). Please help if you can!

June: bought a ticket with @FlySWISS from @Expedia. 1) Flight cancelled, 2) new ticket issued then voided.

@ExpediaHelp: we can't reach AirSwiss via phone/mail
(>2 months).
Swiss: we'll talk to Expedia, not you.
How do I get my money back?
A new paper ('Adult learners’ (non-)acquisition of speaker-specific variation') came out recently in a great volume ('Sociolinguistic Variation and Language Acquisition Across the Lifespan" by Ghimenton, Nardy & Chevrot (eds)). Highly recommend the volume. benjamins.com/catalog/silv.2…
