After 6 years in the game (3 taking it seriously) and numerous strategies and other routes like EAs (more procrastinating) i still find myself breakeven. its like I cant set on one set up because that set up might only be valid through confirmation bias. Stupidest of mistakes wiping away profits from proper trading, basically hybrid gambling. Are there any communities or groups that are somewhat tight knit for group accountability?

I'm 19 year old started learning trading lately last year and start trading actively this year. Made a couple of profit at Q1(many beginners luck though)of this year not much though told my mom about it,help her with some money and whenever my siblings call and ask for money I do give them. back to zero now and I don't know what to do Nowadays if I ask my parents for anything both school related or what I might need as their child their statements are always “are you not trading you have the money " And even my siblings they do call me and be like ohh the need money and me trying to tell them I don't have they are all calling me wicked It's draining me fr and I feel like taking my own life

Used trading to fund my clothing brand. Big mistake lol. I’m losing about $5-10k/month on the clothing brand AND my trading income took a hit because I wasn’t spending as much time on it. A lot of people say “build businesses outside of trading” but IMO it’s better to focus on just one thing. I’m closing down the clothing brand btw.

Had $2k and wanted to make it big, so decided to risk it all a couple times to try make a lot more money. Turned $2k into $6.3k on the first trade. $6.3k into $12k on the next trade. Then $12k into $40k on the next. Then $40k into $73k. I’ve been trading for 2 years but I understand how lucky I got and that the odds of me winning 4 trades in a row like that were extremely low. I don’t gamble like that anymore but I was glad I did it because it gave me good start up capital to start trading properly.

I am a high school teacher. Nobody here knows I made an extra $78k trading last year. The money has been great. It lets me go on more trips and experiences with my family and I’m also putting it a lot of it away in long-term investments. I’ll probably never quit being a teacher though since it’s my passion

Mother asked me how work was going so I told her the truth that I was done $63,000 this week. She started looking up gambling hotlines and thought I had a problem. Not that deep, that’s just over -6R for me lol. I did $230k last month before but I like to keep my finances quiet among my family.

A few months ago, I confessed here that I’d blown through over 180 evaluations and more than 40 PAs. Everyone in the comments insulted me and told me to calm down. I said I felt really close to making it and that, despite everything, I kept showing up every day. Here I am today with 4 PAs and eligible for a third payout in the last 20 days. I’ve had 11 straight green days, with profits of over $400 per account each day. I feel like a king, though I know red days are coming. Any advice?

Used trading profits to start an ecom brand that has done $800k in sales this year. 3 properties generating passive income on top of trading too. Trade a few hours, build the rest. This is the formula.

I've passed 5k, 10k, and 50k funding challenges. During those evaluations, I've gone through significant drawdowns and managed to recover them, proving to myself that I can handle adversity and stay disciplined. However, once I get funded, everything seems to change. I honestly can't remember having a single profitable trade after receiving a funded account. It's as if all my knowledge and experience disappear overnight. I suddenly lose the ability to put together even one green day, despite having demonstrated consistency during the challenge phase. As a result, I've ended up losing every funded account I've earned. I genuinely don't know what to do anymore. It's incredibly frustrating because I know I'm capable of passing evaluations, but for some reason, I can't seem to replicate that performance once I'm funded.

Every "free" trading discord I've joined is just giving just enough free content to make you think the paid version will change your life. It won't. Took me $2k and 3 discords to learn this lesson.

I started trading 2021, its been 5 years now and I am not profitable. Im 29 next month and truly lost. I get quite anxious and moreover I have applied for 100s of jobs and zero luck. I see everyone I know 10, 20 steps ahead of me whether they are getting married, planning to have a kid or promotion in their job or planning to purchase a house. I feel extremely behind that I dont know if trading is for me.

Everyone says “don’t gamble”, but one big shot can literally change everything for you. 3 years ago I put everything I had ($4k) on one gold swing trade. It went my way and I made $36k from that one trade. From there I just traded the $36k with normal risk (and kept depositing when I could). Sitting on $400k live trading account right now, risk 2% per trade and I just withdraw anything above the $400k. It would’ve taken me so much longer to get here if I just traded 1% of my $4k capital lol.

I’ve made $300k so far this year from “retail trading concepts”. Literally support & resistance, trendlines, bullish/bearish flags - the things you literally learn on babypips. Yet most traders won’t take me seriously because I’m not trading some ICT BS. When are you guys going to learn that strategy DOES NOT MATTER!!

most strategy issues are self issues icl. greed, fear, impatience. I used to blame the market for my shortcomings until it seeped into my personal life. now I treat that mfer like a mirror.

Built a trading algorithm over a year. Backtesting was incredible. 3 years of live data showed 30-40% annual returns. Started taking on investors. Then it went haywire and lost 40% in one night. Ruined my reputation. The investors will never trust me again and I don't blame them.

Every profitable trader I know exercises daily, is in bed at 9pm and doesn’t party. I truly don’t believe you can be partying all the time and be a profitable trader.

2/3 years of trading, last year managed to get funding, started to get payouts, nothing much like 5k. Felt on top of the world, lost it all and now 10k in debt, i paid for a mentorship to help my psychology but wasn’t worth it, cost me 2.5k. Finally managed to get funded again but it was a shady firm and got denied 5k worth of payouts and breached on all accounts. Any advice? I’ll be reading every single answer

Been trading for 6 years, started a track record 4 years ago. I have $8M in funded capital so far and earn 15% of profits. A 3% month means $36k for me (not including my personal capital that I’m also trading). Start a track record early, you won’t regret it.
