Italy are trying something different 👁️❌
Interim coach Silvio Baldini has had the Azzurri training with eye patches ahead of their friendly vs Greece, a method designed to challenge players in a new way after taking charge on a temporary basis.
Baldini has used this approach before at club level with Palermo and Pescara, and previously with Italy’s U21s.
The idea is to limit vision on the dominant eye, forcing players to rely more on spatial awareness, balance, and their weaker side - rather than defaulting to one dominant visual input.
It’s an unusual method, but one Baldini believes can sharpen perception and develop adaptability on the pitch.
