ALT If someone wants to transition that's their decision and nobody should have the power to stop them. No Doctor, No TERF, and No Tory (Red or Blue) can tell us what to do with our bodies. That is the point from which we start and it is the point the British medical establishment have refused for decades. The Cass Review uses psuedoscience to justify restricting trans bodily autonomy. It excluded trans people from its governance board and appointed conversion therapy activists to conduct its evidence review who did not declare their conflicts of interest. It cites multiple debunked papers by conversion therapists and dismisses most of the actual evidence by casting a shadow of unreasonable doubt. This is the same tactic used by oil and tobacco companies, anti-abortion groups, and anti-trans groups in the USA. It wears a mask of scientific authority but the only legitimate authority on our bodies is us.

ALT The Review does not acknowledge or apologise for the deaths the NHS has caused through its existing policy of segregation and instead proposes to extend that segregation. It does not acknowledge the decades of pathologisation and control that segregated Gender Identity Clinics embody, or the documented attempts by conversion therapists and faith groups to influence the NHS, which we took direct action against last month. It does not acknowledge that conversion therapists are rebranding as "exploratory therapists." It hedges its bets in key areas so casual readers can wilfully ignore its violence, but we read Cass in light of the NHS' and British state's history of brutalising trans people. After decades of control, abuse, and deliberate ignorance we say fuck the NHS.

ALT We demand the Cass Review be scrapped and the people involved prevented from making decisions about anyone's healthcare ever again. We demand desegregation - the same demand trans people have made since at least 2013. We demand an end to "gender dysphoria/incongruence" as a necessary diagnosis for treatment. We demand the closure of every segregated GIC and retribution for all the abuses that occured there. We demand a massive expansion in options for medical transition at all ages so we can choose for ourselves what our futures will look like. We demand funding for community-run healthcare and HRT provisions available from primary care providers. We remember Sophie Williams, Alice Litman, Armanih Lewis-Daniel, Jason Pullman, and Charlie Millers, who all died on the NHS' pointless waiting lists; we hold NHS managers including Jeremy Glyde and Julie Turner responsible and demand they be punished. We demand consequences and reparations.

ALT We congratulate our comrades in the streets who face police violence to disrupt medical transphobia. We congratulate the rare NHS staff who break the rules because they know this system butchers us. We congratulate scholars like HellIslandReports, Trans Safety Network, and Trans Writes who keep us informed when mainstream media shuts out trans voices. We condemn the embarrassing spinelessness of Stonewall and other so-called "allies" attempting to give Cass legitimacy - fuck you too. The NHS has always been a violent, white supremacist, saneist, transphobic system; the Cass Report was never going to change that system, indeed it was designed to expand it. The NHS does not provide trans healthcare; it disciplines and punishes trans people, so we will transition any way we can - with community-led care, private care, and overseas care. We will smuggle, borrow, share, and steal the medicine we need. We will take direct action to defend each other. We survive. We rebel. Fuck the NHS.

ALT Today the conversion therapy conference at the RCGP took place, where conversion therapists (torturers) from across the world convened in Britain at an institution representing 55,000 GPs. Trans and Queer antifascists took action against the conference, and were met with pepper spray deployed by police bastards spraying indiscriminately into the crowd (Inspector - 226311) during attempted (and one successful) arrests. Anti-trans wings of the international Fascist movement are established within British institutions, and the violence police are willing to undertake is rapidly escalating. IN SOLIDARITY WITH TRANS YOUTH, INCLUDING THOSE ALREADY BY OUR SIDES We will not back down. We have no option. We will prepare even more than we did, we will train better, organise more extensively, and we will continue to develop the structures that we need to defend ourselves and our communities.

ALT Queer transfeminist antifascist organising has come a long way in the last half decade. We have learned so much on the way, met so many wonderful comrades, and we have shared so much pain in our struggle. We need to step up, across the UK. We encourage trans and queer people across the UK, as well as our comrades, to educate and train themselves. To get involved, and to do more. We must become more radical. We must develop stronger solidarities, and build resilient structures. As TAB we are dedicated to building these, and we ask any groups who need help to reach out. We ask individuals who want to resist to find their local group, and if it doesn’t exist, to build communities of care, love and defiance as the ground for direct action.
