TransLeeds is a charity run by & for the Transgender, Non-Binary and Gender Expansive community! We have several groups a month & regular social events 🤗
ALT Who are TransLeeds?
Transleeds are a support and advocacy group run by transgender people for transgender people.
We aim to provide practical support and advice for the trans community in and around Leeds.
ALT Support Groups
We run several support groups which provide a great opportunity to meet other trans people who are on a similar journey.
These groups last around two hours and are currently being run over Zoom during the pandemic.
ALT Social Groups
We also have more relaxed groups and activities such as
doodle day, board gaming and nights out.
ALT Binder Library
We run a binder library where people can donate their
old binders or you can pick one up if you are in need.
We occasionally have clothing swaps too!

Bring water, bring banners/placards and have a safe and happy Pride!
Joining TransLeeds for Leeds Pride Parade 2024?
The Parade is split into 6 groups and we are in Group 2. Meet us at the top of Calverley Street between the Town Hall and the Library.
Arrive from 11am. You MUST be there no later than 11.45am. The Parade sets off 12/12.15pm.
It’s TransLeeds’ monthly boardgaming again this Sunday. We had a great turnout last month with 5 or 6 games on the go so come along and join the fun. Message for location.
You don't have to have attended the first session to come to this one. As before, there'll be discussion, drama games, and free snacks.
If you're trans or non binary, please come along and help Elz's research - it's good fun!
There are no limitations - it can even be an abstract drawing, just as long as everyone brings something, as this workshop is going to be focused on these objects and making a short drama scene from them.
Please take your seats. Our trans/non binary theatre workshop will resume this Friday!
After a very successful first instalment, we're inviting participants old and new to come along to another workshop led by Elz Johnson from Leeds Uni.
The most important thing this time is to bring an item to represent your ideal theatre space. This can be a small practical object such as ear plugs to help reduce background noise, making the space more calming.
We are still planning on doing our Picnic in the Park Tomorrow despite the bad weather today! Meet us at 12:30pm at Roundhay Park near the Mansion. Bring your own food and drinks! We do have some food to offer though! Keeping our fingers crossed for maybe even some sun ☀️
Join us, Trans Pride Leeds and Bi Leeds Social Group on Sunday 16th June (this Sunday) in Roundhay Park (near the Mansion car park) for our third annual picnic in the park.
Bring yourselves, bring your own food and drink and bring anything else you fancy! No BBQs. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Look out for the LGBTQ flags and there we will be! (if you walk past the Mansion with it on your left, we will be on the grassed area ahead of you.
Anyone and everyone is welcome and please message us if you have any questions, need more location information or need to let us know anything🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Please join TransLeeds in thanking our Volunteers!! TransLeeds is run entirely by unpaid Volunteers. Without them we would not exist. THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!! 🏳️⚧️
