🎯 Christian leaders should be ambitious. Not for personal success, but because the mission is eternal. Small vision in light of the Great Commission misses what is at stake. When ambition is aligned with God’s Kingdom, it fuels urgency for what matters most.

🏗️ One goal of the new sanctuary is to make worship feel less like rows of spectators and more like a family gathered by wrap-around seating. Psalm 34:3 doesn’t say, “Magnify the Lord by yourself.” It says, “Magnify the Lord with me.”

❤️ Be careful who you date. You might marry them. Before asking, “Do I want to be with this person?” ask, “Will this person help me follow Jesus more closely?” If the mission does not define the relationship, the relationship will determine the mission. travisagnew.org/2026/06/16/d…

🦉 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18) One of the dangers of leadership is believing your own success. Pride resists correction, assumes it has little left to learn, and slowly damages the trust of those around it.

💡 Psalm 14 says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” Notice David doesn’t say “mind.” The issue is not primarily a lack of evidence but a desire for independence. Video, audio, and sermon notes. 👇 travisagnew.org/2026/06/14/f…

📖 “This work goes on diligently and prospers in their hands.” — Ezra 5:8 God’s people worked hard, and God blessed their efforts. One person can make a difference, but it is amazing what can happen when God’s people unite around God’s purposes and faithfully do their part.

One of my favorite moments today was our Next Steps membership class. What stood out to me was the mix of stories in the room. People from all walks of life and different stages of faith were taking steps toward deeper connection and community.

The common thread in so many of those stories was surprisingly simple: someone reached out. A friend, a neighbor, a coworker—someone who took the time to extend an invitation and say, “Come sit with me.”

So keep reaching out to others. Keep lifting people up in prayer. Keep trusting God to work through your faithfulness. What may seem like a small gesture today could become a significant part of someone’s journey with Him tomorrow.

The rejection of God leads to the corruption of self.

⛪ Pastor, before you step into the pulpit today, remember who your audience ultimately is. After the sermon, people will have opinions. But the most important question is not, “What did they think?” It is, “Was God honored?” Preach faithfully. Leave the results to Him.

Most people do not reject God all at once. They simply want His blessings without His authority and His help without His commands. David described a culture living as though God did not exist. His words feel remarkably familiar. See you Sunday. Foolishness & Faith Psalm 14:1-7

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that “death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Our words have consequences. A well-timed word of encouragement can strengthen someone for years. A careless comment can discourage them just as long. travisagnew.org/2026/06/08/w…

⌛ Between Malachi and Matthew lies a blank page representing nearly 400 years of silence. No prophets. No new Scripture. No fresh revelation. God’s silence was not His absence. The promises had already been made; they were waiting for the fulfillment. travisagnew.org/2026/06/11/s…

🧭 Very few people abandon their faith all at once. More often, drift happens through a series of unchecked decisions, unhealthy influences, and distractions that seem insignificant at the time. The enemy does not need open rebellion if slow drift will accomplish the same goal.

Many Christians struggle to practice Sabbath not because they lack time, but because stopping requires trust. In this episode, we explore how the Sabbath still exposes whether our confidence rests in our productivity or in God’s provision. travisagnew.org/2026/06/10/s…

🏁 One of the hardest parts of leadership is knowing when to let go. Jesus eventually sent His disciples out to do the very things they had watched Him do. At some point, development has to turn into deployment. The goal is to develop people who can carry the mission forward.

🏗️ Seventy years ago today, Rocky Creek celebrated a new educational building in the Greenville News. Those members sacrificed to build something they knew would primarily benefit future generations. Today, we are still benefiting from their faithfulness.

Mobilize & Maximize is about doing the same. If the Lord tarries, people worshipping here seventy years from now will be blessed by sacrifices they never personally made. What a privilege it is to build for the future while standing on the shoulders of those who built for us.

👥 One of the biggest decisions you’ll make in college isn’t your major or career path. It’s who you allow closest to you. Very few people intentionally walk away from their faith. Most simply drift. Choose your friends before they choose your future. travisagnew.org/2026/06/09/c…
