A disaster declaration is in effect for Travis County.
This is out of an abundance of caution due to the threat of the New World Screwworm.
Check your livestock and pets for wounds and report suspected cases. Make sure your pets are up to date on flea and tick preventatives.
🪰 Travis County Judge Andy Brown issued a precautionary disaster declaration related to New World Screwworm. There are currently no documented cases in Travis County. Report animals with wounds that won't heal, visible larvae, or signs of infection. Info: screwworm.gov

Meet the new Travis County Commissioner for Pct. 4! 👋
Yesterday (6/11), George Morales III was sworn in to serve the remainder of retired-Commissioner Gomez’s term.
Morales previously served as Constable for Pct. 4. He is a life-long resident of the Dove Springs neighborhood.

Happy Pride, Travis County! 🌈
With help from our LGBTQIA community, we raised the Progress Pride Flag for the 6th year in a row and unveiled a new pride path outside the Travis County Administrative Building at 700 Lavaca St.
