A disaster declaration is in effect for Travis County.
This is out of an abundance of caution due to the threat of the New World Screwworm.
Check your livestock and pets for wounds and report suspected cases. Make sure your pets are up to date on flea and tick preventatives.

Yesterday (6/11), George Morales III was sworn in to serve the remainder of retired-Commissioner Gomez’s term.
Morales previously served as Constable for Pct. 4. He is a life-long resident of the Dove Springs neighborhood.
