$200,000 rebrand. New site. New messaging. AI still describes them by their 2022 identity. Old headlines. Old links. Old consensus. Historical data > Current version. Zombie Rebrand is most expensive in B2B. → mariadykstra.com/what-ai-act…

31 blog posts last year. Zero AI citations. Well-written? -> Structurally invisible. Entity signals? -> Fragmented. Terminology?-> Inconsistent. AI had nothing reliable to cite. Publishing more unstructured is just more noise → mariadykstra.com/the-43000-t…

4 things that won’t save you from AI invisibility: Revenue. ($2.5B > $400B) Volume. (Deloitte 1.7/3. PMI cited instead.) Headcount. (2,250 > 12,000) Tenure. (Startup > NYSE giant) AI doesn’t read your P&L. → mariadykstra.com/why-your-co…

Your SEO agency celebrated Page 1. ChatGPT has never heard of you. Same company. Different systems. Ahrefs: Only 12% of AI-cited URLs rank in Google’s top 10. You can rank, publish, and still be invisible to AI. → mariadykstra.com/google-rank…

43,000:1 The ratio of content AI processes to content it cites. You aren’t competing with 10 articles. You’re competing with the entire internet. Most B2B content fails the filter before quality is ever considered. → mariadykstra.com/the-43000-t…

90% of ChatGPT citations come from pages ranked #21 on Google. Not page two. Position twenty-one and beyond. 80% don't rank in Google's top 100 at all. $10K/month on SEO wins a game AI isn't playing. → mariadykstra.com/google-rank…

Your brand too 20 years to build. ChatGPT has never heard of it. Because it runs on completely different inputs. Trade shows don't register. Referrals don't transfer. Board seats don't count. → See how the human and machine systems diverge: mariadykstra.com/the-great-d…

One CEO told me: "Perplexity recommended 3 of our competitors by name. It described us as 'and others in the space.'" That's a structural failure. AI couldn't classify them fast enough to include them. So it didn't. → Run the 5-minute self-diagnostic: mariadykstra.com/ai-visibili…

- A $2.5B company outscored a $400B company - A 200-person startup outscored a 1,000-person competitor. - A company nobody's heard of outscored an NYSE-listed brand. Revenue didn't predict AI visibility. Structure did. → See the full scoring table: mariadykstra.com/why-your-co…

Deloitte publishes hundreds of reports a year. Their AI citation score in our study: 1.7 out of 3. ChatGPT recommends PMI, ISACA, and CIO.com instead Volume didn't save them. It won't save you either. → See the full Tier Paradox data: mariadykstra.com/index

Test 5: The Corroboration Test Google: "[your company] vs [your main competitor]" If no 3rd-party comparison content exists (no G2 review, no analyst mention, no trade press comparison) AI has nothing to cross-reference. You exist in your own world . You don't exist for AI.

Score yourself: Fail tests 1 2 → structural problem. Start there. Fail 2 → distribution problem. Fail 3 4 → identity fragmentation and semantic drift. Fail 5 → no third-party corroboration. AI can't verify you exist. The fix is here: mariadykstra.com/why-your-co…

Small nuance most people miss: AI doesn’t “scan the web.” It runs: • query decomposition • entity retrieval • signal weighting • answer assembly There is no page one in AI Full breakdown in the post here: mariadykstra.com/why-your-co…

The crisis isn’t too much content. It’s too little credibility. When everything looks AI-polished, people stop believing what they read.

When AI videos are just as good as normal videos, I wonder what that will do to YouTube and how it will impact the millions of creators currently making content for a living.. scary times.
